  1. Hi all, so this is my first ready for inspection kit I have done, this Canberra will certainly not be my last Canberra. I hope everyone likes what I have done. That link above shows what happened with the build and why it started out as a pure classic airframes kit, but then changed into the classic airframes/ airfix hybrid that it now is. If anyone has any advice or tips on how I can improve my builds I am up for learning and trying those out.
  2. Hello friends. This was my last Sparviero, done a few months ago using the very good 3D Model kits resin set for the bomb bay and the unusual mechanism used to pull bombs in their locations (tail down). Having done five of those birds, a lot of work has to be done to improve details, mainly the interior, wheel bays, wheels, etc. This is the bomber version, so no torpedo here. It depicts a plane from the 256° Squadriglia BT, 109° Gruppo, 36° Stormo in 1940, this explains the lack of the white fuselage band. The twin towers on the tail refers to the city of Bologna. Most of the markings were made with masks. The model was difficult to photograph due to size and lack of space. Thanks for watching! 3. Hi comrades! My next build is two Brewster Buffalos. In this thread it will be Finnish one. Famous "white seven" of the commander of 1/LeLV 24 in winter camouflage. Classic Airframe's kit is much more detailed than the old Tamiya's kit. I'll anyway add some scratch details to the cockpit and wheels-engine compartment. Model will be riveted. Only aftermarket is Montex Masks. Thanks for looking
  4. My last finished kit for 2018, which as been a very productive year. I' keep thinking I've finished all my Classic Airframes kits in the stash then find another. This is almost straight from the box but I did use Barracuda Intake which fitted perfectly. They were the only parts that did. Thanks for looking.
  5. The mini Beast from the East gave me some unexpected time at the bench so I could put the finishing touches to this: It is my last but one Classic Airframes kit. When they stopped producing kits I had 16 in stock and have been slowly working my way through them. Not the easiest CA kit to build but not the hardest either. The main problem was getting the booms and tailplanes straight and level, and I'm not completely sure I did. It looks really wonky in this photo but not in real life!!! 14 Squadron RNZAF is better known for having Black rudders with white kiwis painted on but earlier they used these checks. As I have one in the later scheme this was a natural fit. I used Oldmodel Decals from NZ and they performed really well except for the Letter B's on the tip tanks which are not opaque enough and will get changed when I find suitable decals. Thanks for looking.
  6. Since times immemorial I feel like I have been hacking away at this Classic Airframe kit. the interior and the resin for it fitted really well but the rest of the kit didn't. Anyway I'm off for some therapy and eyeing up my Classic Airframes Venom FB1 as the next challenge. The decals are a mix of Oldmodels and Ventura. Thanks for looking
