Ok , my apologies , I accidentally posted this in the wrong discussion , the problem is I built the Tamiya cheiftain and absolutely loved it , however there is one very minor problem and that is that the gun gets a little loose it can hold a neutral or depressed position however when trying to raise it to its maximum elavation it just drops down , I heard this is common in older Tamiya kits as they didn’t put poly caps in the turrets and it’s just got a simple peg that sits in a hole made by the top and bottom turret half , I’m sure there is a way to fix it however I have come here for advice , and have any of you ever had this issue (with the kit not erectile dysfuntion) many thanks william

Hi all, I'm about to start work on my Tamiya Chieftain and I'm looking for reference photos of the mk5. However I'm having trouble finding photos of that exact model, either that or I'm not understanding the upgrade packages that came for the Chieftain. The only photos I can find are of Chieftains with the muzzle reference system and/or the stillbrew armour package - which to my understanding the mk5 didn't have. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers, Steven

Marksman anti-aircraft system was a system developed by Marconi with two 35 mm Oerlikon anti-aircraft guns mounted to an tank/armoured vehicle chassis to make a Self Propelled Anti Aircraft gun. The prototype was fitted to a Chieftain tank chassis. In the end it was only ordered by Finland who fitted it to T-55 chassis originally, and then Leopard 2 chassis later on. Prototype seen at Duxford, pics thanks to Mark Bentley.
