Their only purpose for me is to illustrate examples of scratchbuilding.
Here is the first one.

The Cant.18 was a member of a successful and large family of Italian flying boats.
The graceful lines of the type are complemented by the presence of the Issotta Fraschini V6 engine, actually a six cyl inline engine in spite of the āVā, and the Warren truss bracing.
The type flew for the first time in 1926.
