I wasn't going to do another build, then Models For Heroes volunteers and beneficiaries said about a Battle of British group build. Having seen the fantastic work from both @PeterB and @Heather Kay in regards to Italian airforce aircraft, I thought I'd have a go. I picked this kit up off an auction site and some decals/ transfers from Hannants, not built a Smër kit before and I've never seen a 1/40 kit either. No bells or whistles on this build, as it comes with a clear stand. I'm going to use the build to improve my airbrushing skills now I've got a bit of the aircraft bug. Hopefully the kits ok? As it didn't mention the mark of the kit in regards to the BoB. #BOB80

Right then, now I've got my Cobra build out of the way I'm down to one model on the go and that will never do! I'm still deciding which of my US Navy options to do for this GB and it will depend on what I can find at Telford in a couple of weeks time so I thought I would fill the gap with a true classic of the air war in the MTO the Fiat CR-42 Falco. I will be using the Italeri 1/48 CR-42AS kit which has markings for 4 of the ground attack version of this classic biplane. There are lots of Macchi's on here (deservedly so) so another Fiat is definitely needed. First a picture of the box followed by one of it's contents. As you can see I've got an aftermarket decal set from Sky Models but I'm not sure if I will use it yet. Here are a couple of pics of some of the references I will be using during the build. And here is the scheme I'm drawn to the most. As I say I'm not 100% that this is the scheme I will use as I am tempted by some of the earlier fighter schemes but this one will definitely be easier to paint. Hope this one gets your interest, and thanks for looking in. Craig.

I'm in, I needed a KUTA to enter the KUTA group build! Here's an Italeri Fiat CR-42 I started last year and had to put away when I moved and haven't taken it out since. I've completed the office, which I tarted up with the Eduard PE set and I'm about ready to zip it up. I have a ton of schemes to choose from as I have the Sky Decals set and Third Group Decals set for this. I'm definitely going Italian and splotchy! More photos and progress in a bit. Cheers Segan
