  1. Chieftain Mk.10 Berlin Brigade. Whilst waiting for a few new releases to materialise I thought I really should finish off some of the uncompleted builds that I have laying around. Inspired by @Big_Bad_Bill and his Mk.11 I decided to get on with my Berlin Brigade Mk.10. Most of the construction work has been completed but as there has been a few builds of Takom's Chieftains already on the forum I don't think it matters that this topic will be more about the painting. A brief explanation of the Berlin Brigade camouflage scheme with a little help from the Tankog
  2. Hello everyone so with the recent bunfight now over and my enthusiasm for the British AFV’s Group build waning. Mainly due to it being a hodge podge of changes and exceptions. Ive decided to withdraw it from next years bunfight and start over with this new build instead. We have had Multiple successful Single type Builds for Armor. The M3/M4 last year. The Panzer IV, Mk.VI Tiger, and Patton S.T. builds last year. Currently we have the T-34 running now & Panther Mk.V later this year. Let me ask you this question? Would there be any interest in a more inclusive Group Buil
  3. fit a little After deciding to use up some spare sprues from Armourfast and PSC I found that I couldpiece of Normandy into a small terrarium from a well known Scandinavian household store (JYSK not the other one!). the Armourfast Cromwell was looking forlorn after I used up one sprue for an ARV and decided that it could only go on a diorama on its own due to its overscale appearence when put next to my Revell Cromwells. I had some equally mismatched ESCI figures which are well detailed but also overscale for my other Normandy dios. Many of the 'action' poses are useless for most scenes but I d
  4. We all have an extensive stash of kits in our lofts, garages, under the bed or wherever, but even if we hope one day to build them all , what about the leftovers? I was thinking this a while back when I unearthed an Armourfast Cromwell sprue and a few other unused sprues from other quick-builds which had donated one example to some other project. I decided to use this and other left over bits and pieces up in a micro-diorama inside a plant terrarium which was equally unemployed. Now the Armourfast Cromwell isn't all that bad as far as shape goes, it does lack some necessary details which can
  5. Hi All, This is a good chance to get a two for one build done. It fits in with both the British AFVs and Small Wars out-voted GBs. The kit is the AFV Club Israeli Shot'Kal Centurion, but this version also includes the parts to build a British Mk. 5 except for the 20 pdr gun. So with a new gun, some decals and PE it's ready to build. I've also bought an AFV Club vinyl mantlet cover as there it isn't one included in the box - which I think really extracting the urine as the cover was a standard fitting on British and Isra
  6. Hi Chaps Not much activity over December due to the uncertainty of the bun fight. The British AFV build seemed to have little or no chance of success from early on and so I decided to build my Warrior to keep me busy until the Scandinavian group build. Meanwhile we now have this forum and i note Enzo has relaxed the 25% rule so i will submit the Warrior. Until the first of January there was no paint so its recent progress is quite rapid. I'm also building the quad bikes and a Coyote. These are great little kits as they fit together quite well and don't t
