Hello and thanks for your interest in this topic. This is my 1/72 Airfix Fw-190 A8 dressed as a "Sturmbock" of II/JG4. This particular aircraft is well documented on color pictures (seen here: http://www.clubhyper.com/reference/luftcambg_5.htm). It was piloted by Walter Wagner on January 1, 1945, participating in"Operation Bodenplatte". It was hit by flak during the attack over St. Trond airfield, when the engine died and the pilot had to make and emergency landing. The plane was captured by the US Forces and sent for evaluation. It later carried an all-red color, decals for the caputred version are available from aftermarket manufacturers as well. This aircraft had black/white/black RVT bands (denoting JG 4) and the emblem of the left side of the fuselage only. I added additional side armor from the Brengun etch set, which also provides various antennas and cockpit interior. To my chargin, the left armor plate lifted off with a "ping!" during the paint session and would not go back into position by any means, which spoils the look of the model from a certain angle. Nonetheless I decided to finish the build wtih it's flaw. The decals are from Sky Models Italy, are of reasonable quality and can be recommended. The sheet also provides the spinner spiral. Painted with acrylics from the Gunze/Mr.Hobby range, weathered with artist's oils and pastel chalks. The red blotches on the fuselage represent primer spots, as seen in the original pictures, and have been hand-painted using Vallejo colors. Pitot tube is a metal piece from Master Model. All photographs by Wolfgang Rabel of IGM Cars & Bikes - a big 'thank you'! Here's some in-progress shots I took during construction stage. The fuselage halves were badly warped, evident in this picture: ... and so were the wings ... Cockpit with Brengun etch, very little can be seen afterwards: Fixing the side armor panels was a difficult task due to the curvature of the fuselage: Thanks for your interest ... and off we go for another mission in the ever expanding universe of Plastic Modelling! Until next time, take care, and all the best from Vienna/Austria! Roman

Hello and thanks for your interest, this is another marking option from AZ Model's latest G-10 "Diana" kit. It represents 'Gigi', a machine of II/JG 52, in the closing weeks of the war. I could not find a historic photograph of this machine, so I had to relate to AZ Model's paint instructions and a color profile in a Kagero book (JG 52) respectively. Photo etch parts from Brengun, vacu canopy from Rob Taurus. Painted with Gunze acrylics. Weathering with pastel chaks and artist's oils. Greetings from Vienna! Hello, this is my interpretation of "Red 4" from Grupul 7/8 Vanatoare in spring 1945. The kit is 1/72 AZ Model Bf-109 G6 with photo etch from Brengun, vacu canopy from AML, pitot tube from Master Model and decals from RB Productions (http://www.radubstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_67). The aircraft was captured from retreating German forces in autumn 1944. All previous national insignia and theater markings were overpainted by the new operators. Note the overpainted Balkenkreuze on the upper wings and fuselage, the Swastika has been removed as well. The former yellow fuselage band has partly been covered with White, partly overpainted with RLM76 and additional motting applied. White wingtips added. The yellow lower cowl has been overpainted with RLM76 as well, but that wasn't done very carefully with the new paint roughly covering the cowl and some paint chipping too - a patchy affair. The tricolore on the rudder is painted on, I tried to capture the colour tone of the Roundels. A (quite blurry) photograph of this aircraft can be found here: http://www.me109.info/display.php?a=e&fid=8859 Photographs by: Wolfgang Rabel of IGM Cars & Bikes Thanks for your interest!

Hi Folks, here's a quick build that I threw together this week, it's the tiny 1/72 scale Brengun kit of the Bachem Ba-349A Natter. A great little kit with some tiny little parts, the only problem I had was with the fit of the canopy. I wish I'd spent a little longer getting that right as the built up model looks great. My apologies for the photos, they were taken on my phone. Duncan B

On display at the Spielwarenmesse Nürnberg 2014 two future 1/72nd Brengun's kits. But what's that? A German glider and a piloted bomb. Types? Help. OK, so for my second build post something small. This is Brenguns tiny Rammer, so small I thought they'd made a mistake and it was 1/144 but no, it is actually 1/72. The fit was pretty good for a short run style kit but the photo etch is a real pain as there's no indentation for the parts to attach to so you only have the tiny contact patch of the part itself making them very fragile. Still, I managed to get through the painting with only a couple of repairs needed. The scheme is hypothetical as the kit schemes were a little dull. The mottle is there mainly to disguise a rather poor masking job on the demarcation line. The base is just a plasticard circle mounted on a wooden drinks coaster. Hope you enjoy the shots And finally, a couple of shots to show the size better Thanks for looking Andy

something very different to a fighter! full resin kit, very fast and easy build, interesting to me,, definitely smaller than I thought it would be! more or less the same as any air-launched cruise missile aka Storm Shadow, Harpoon,Slam-ER, etc that's what was in the box: some decals for other versions (air lauched (AGM) but never put to service, Royal Navy, and some display schemes) the booster is still on the to do list... a very nice display stand is also included

going to to this cruise missile (maybe THE cruise missile?) which got fame I think during the first Gulf War/ Operation Dessert Storm and was used since in nearly every conflict the US or UK where involved. (any other users?) BRENGUN brought out a very nice resin version of this AGM this year, and as I usually build in 1/48 that was a reason to buy it! (although it is not an aeroplane and has no fancy paint schemes and does not appear at airshows...) so here whats in the box: very little, its a very small and easy to build flying object some PE and decals. and display trolley is also included missile parts with booster (for ship or submarine launch?): concerning DECALS and paint scheme and markings: there are hardly any pictures of LIVE Tomahawks around. anyone has any? I only encountered a grey camouflage one, with kind of darker top side and lighter grey underside, with a weavey demarcation line... markings?

Has anyone seen the Brengun Spitfire floatplane and if so what is the base kit in the box as the airframe and the floats are in different plastic. Dek.

Hi, all I have noticed a lack of this model on forums so I thought I'd give it a go whilst I decal some Spifires. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the parts aren't numbered on the sprew, this lead me to having to keep referring to the instructions for any multiple parts to make sure the weren't number specific. And the funny looking T thing near the top right of the sprew shot is actually two peices, the control stick and the foot rest (pedals supposedly). On the location diagram in the instructions they are shown seperately. So you have to carefully seperate them. So far I have Pledged the canopy and managed to paint and assemble the cockpit, rocket exhaust and the fuselage halves. Next up I'll give the cockpit a wash and seal up the fuselage halves. Ashley.
