  1. Hi folks! Just wrapped this one up over the weekend. Having a closet full of Eduard 109's, I was a little worried that I would be spoiled by the Tamiya kit and not like the Eduard kit so much. To my relief, I found the Tamiya kit to be a bit over-engineered and a bit simplistic with many of the details. If you want to build one with the engine displayed this is surely the easiest path but I like my models closed up. I do love the design of the canopy though and some things I learned from this kit will change the way I build my Eduard 109's. 1/48 Tamiya Bf109G-6 9./JG54, "Yellow 9" Ludwigslust, Germany Spring 1944 Yahu instrument panel BarracudaCast seat BarracudaCast wheels BarracudaCast tall tail conversion Albion Alloys gun barrels EagleCals decals AK Real Colors paints Anyway, on to the pics! Thanks for looking!
  2. Hello here is my hasegawa BF-109G-6 flown by Erich Hartmann i used gunze acrylics Rlm 76/75/74, this kit is assembled without add-on
  3. Greetings I truly enjoyed this model build . The project needed a little modeling skills but the kit is quite nice. This is the aircraft of Lt. Heinz Ewald, June 1944 The markings came from the Kit decals and a Kagaro Pamphlet "Aircraft Aces 3" Used Gunze Paints except for the final finish using Testors dull-coat and Semi-Gloss decanted from Rattlecans Used Barracuda Resin for Gun Blisters, Oil cooler cover and underwing gun pods. Aftermarket cloth seat-belts from HGW, I also used the Uschi red dot wing stencils, they were great EZ Line and Invisible thread for Antennas Took a little work to get the props and spinner correct agin with help from Barracuda Prop alignment jig Thanks for Viewing Comments always welcome Bill
  4. Hi all, I have been allowed to participate in this GB despite the current state of the Hasegawa 1/48 Bf109s I am entering. Thanks, I really appreciate it. Some years ago I started collecting Hasegawa Bf109s, and I now have most of the issues. I didn't just collect them, I also built some of them (and started building even more). This is why I have a bunch of Bf109s waiting for me to finish them, and this is what I will try to do now. This is the current stateof my bunch: Two G-4s (Italian AF issue): And a number of G-6/G-14s of various issues (but how many?): The G-4s might end up as Italian or JG52 aircraft. The G-6s will most likely end up as JG3 aircraft with shooting stars or eyes on the cowling bulges, and the early G-14 will end up as Barkhorn's kite. The leaves a couple of aircraft to be decided for (or at least a couple of fuselages - let's see if I find the wings somewhere). Jens
  5. Sorry I am late! Back again and pleased to be amongst esteemed company. As outlined in the teaser this is the kit: This is the scheme: Here are the often fondled but newly unpacked sprues: Here are the references: I have had this kit in the stash for ages awaiting "one day" and there was some concern that I didn't show any AM in the teaser. I can lay the rumour to rest that this will be OOB and reveal the AM: and just when you thought it was over: I have a choice of either the RB harness or the new Finemolds set. Well there it is in all its details. I have a number of choices as far as AM parts and I may not use them all (who am I kidding!!). I am even considering riveting this one so that is my new technique for this GB. Thanks for stopping by and good modelling to us all!
