Hi, As I can't do any proper plastic modelling, I'm making CAD models for parts I find lacking in a couple of kits I have stored away. I've found the dimensions of the main wheels for both the B-47 and the B-52, but I can't find the dimensions (diameter and width) for the outrigger wheels. Can anyone help me please? TIA, Sebastien

Hello everyone got a question on a relay chain here. SWMBO has a friend in Oklahoma that was digging up info from the Tulsa Air & Space Museum, and found this photo and caption of a Boeing B-47. The planes serial is 42100 in U.S.Navy markings. With a big McDonell-Douglas corporate logo, pound-sign #️⃣, & Oklahoma university football helmet ? A closer cleaner view shows us this. which enlarged gets this ? Anyone have any info or general knowledge of the aircraft history. Possibly why its got the strange nose art ? Also why it was seconded to the Navy and McD.-Douglas ? Any info is appreciated as always ? Dennis

I picked this little cracker up at this years Yeovilton show in February and have been building it on and off since then. It's a great kit and allows you to build a B or E model although there are some mistakes in the instruction sheet regarding tail armament for each version. The kit itself goes together very well and has lovely crisp panel lines. There are two schemes on the decal sheet, I opted for the all over silver aircraft simply because I'm lazy, the other aircraft has silver top sides and white undersides. The decals took a while to settle and the red band had to be painted on as the decal didn't fit very well. I opted to leave off the drop tanks as I'd forgotten to make the holes to attach the pylons before I stuck the wings together If you can find one of these and you like this scale I recommend it as a great model.
