  1. After its 1/72nd Kaman K-Max kit (http://attacksquadron.pl/index.php/category/k-max/?lang=en & http://www.armahobby.com/k-max-unamnned-manned-helicopter.html), Attack Squadron (http://attacksquadron.pl/) is to release in May-June 2014 a 1/48th resin kit from this helicopter. 2. Brengun has just re-released the Attack Squadron 1/72nd Kaman K-Max resin kit - ref. BRS72018 Source: http://www.hauler.cz/e-shop/1-72-construction-kits-20/kaman-k-max-1743 V.P.
  3. This is the third kit I've built from this manufacturer. For limited run resin, their gems. They do a nice job of using different types of resins to accommodate the build of the kit; hard with fine lines for certain parts, softer to allow for some flex on others, etc. Unfortunately, one of the landing skids was broken from the start. So I tried soldering on this kit. I think my results were a bit mixed from the perspective of fine detail, but no doubt the parts are much stronger and able to absorb handling. BTW - all these pics were taken with a Galaxy s9+ phone and several photog lights. In less time than it usually takes me to set up one shot on my Canon DSLR?!? I'm either dong something right with the phone, or VERY wrong with the Camera. this is a jig I used to get the rotors lined up. It was a scrap piece from a previous project, and made lining up the blades pretty easy. Drilled holes for the brass rod in preparation for the new landing gear Getting the angles correct for the legs. you can see the solder at the bottom. You can also see the the one good skid just to the right. Test fitting the struts to the airframe. You can see the high quality finish on the resin parts (I have no affiliation with the company, I'm just impressed with the finish and fit of these kits) Skids are bent and matched for solder Still some final sanding and shaping, but not too bad for my first try!!! Cheers, Mark

  5. Hello, F-2F-1 which was being builded here -> http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235007243-grumman-f-2f-1-172-attack-squadron-yellow-wings-part-4/#comment-2504506 has finished. Although this is resin model, is easy to assembly, and I didn't have any problems. Model present FF-1 with VF-7 on the USS "Wasp" in 1940 - neutrality patrol. And some pic. with FF-1. Cheers, Jaro
  6. Harrier Harvest, I was going to go with Harrier Hernia but that doesn't sound quite so exciting! Here is another booby type build followed on from here; http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234964850-wip-booby-harrier-gr3-airfix-172/?view=findpost&p=1694841 This time BOOBS is an abbreviation of Built Out Of Boxed Sets. Airfix harrier Gr1 x3 Airfix Harrier Gr3 Italeri Harrier Gr3 Hasegawa Av8-a Eduard zoom etch for Gr1 x2 and for Gr3 x1, Master models pitots for Gr1x3 and for Gr3x1, Pavla seats for Av8a x2, Pavla Aden gun pods for harriers x2, attack squadron Mk 77 napalm bombs for US aircraft x6 Caracel decals early Av8a sheet all in 1/72 scale. I'm just waiting on a few books (thank you Mr H.Lime for the clue) then I'm going to begin "Operation Vertical" One thing I've learned about model kits, if you find one you like get many before eBay put the price up! Secretly I'm hoping revell release the Hunter Mk6 again. What I'm after is help to make (within the limits of my skill and scale permitting) accurate harriers of Gr1/3 and Av8a types, I'm starting with the American versions as I don't yet have seats for the RAF examples. Any help appreciated for any type under construction (everything in the picture is under construction!) Some builds will be quicker with less effort! Please be patient. . . .
  7. I recieved a surprise Christmas present from a modelling friend; an all resin 1/72 Spitfire PR.XI kit by Attack Squadron. It is a kit that I knew nothing about, nor have read anything about it in magazines or on the net. But oh what a pleasant surprise! Excellent casting, highly detaled cockpit, perfectly clear vacformed canopy (unfortunately only one) very good PE for the smallest deails, and six decal options; four American, one RAF and one Danish AF. Parts breakdown is a bit unconventional, but after having done some dry-fitting the fit seems to be near perfect. The only con I've found so far is the instructions which, although nicely drawn, seem a bit disorganised and have no colour callouts whatsoever for the interior. The latter is no problem for me since I have plenty of references to go by. Very much looking forward to build this kit.
  8. Next Attack Squadron (http://www.attacksquadron.pl/en/) 1/48th resin kit is a Camcopter S-100 drone kit - ref. ASQ4800? Source: http://www.attacksquadron.pl/en/2014/09/19/coming-soon-models-camcopter-s-100-enginres-for-c-130j-jdam-bombs/ V.P.
