Hello Everyone.... So while going through the builds I came across one that made me think. So Im proposing the Golden wings of Aviation group build. This would cover anything Aviation related. Starting from 11 November 1918 when the Armistice went into effect to August of 1939 Any aircraft used, designed, or operated by any Nation’s Military. This would include World War One aircraft still being used in this timeframe. Also includes World War Two aircraft that were into the advanced testing phase or in squadron use as of August of 1939. This build would also include civilian aircraft types as well. Want to build a Spirit of St.Louis or maybe Amelia Earhart’s aircraft those all count. All civilian airliners used in this era would count. The aircraft used by explorers such as Admiral Byrd also qualify. Not to mention any civilian types that were pressed into military service in places like Spain, Ethiopia, and China among other locations. Please ask if you have questions, I will research it and let you know if it qualifies. One offs and odd examples greatly encouraged to be built. If there is an written example, blueprint, or a prototype of something I will pretty much allow it. If anyone is interested in co-hosting please say so. 1. Corsairfoxfouruncle (host) 2. dnl42 3. Hello one and all... So I did a scan back to 2015 and didn't see anything for this subject. So I’m proposing a Group build for all things Republic Aviation. This would include the Original Seversky Aircraft Company and its aircraft. This will be take two for this. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_Aviation Even if an aircraft is not on this list, if you or anyone can show a Republic/Seversky connection thats reasonable I will allow it. Many famous types and prototypes have born the name of Republic Aircraft. If anyone is interested please let me know ? You can build a P-35 or an 2pa in Japanese markings. That or maybe an Seversky AT-12 Guardsman. Then there are of course the P-43 Lancer and P-47 Thunderbolt. Or maybe you fancy a jet, there are of course the Thunderjets, Thunderstreaks, and Thunderflashes. Then last but definitely not least there is the Thud or Thunderchief. Standard rules would apply of course. A list of qualified aircraft. Seversky SEV-3 Single-engine three-seat amphibian Seversky P-35 1935 Single-engine single-seat propeller fighter aircraft Seversky A8V Single-engine single-seat propeller fighter aircraft Seversky XP-41 Single-engine single-seat propeller fighter aircraft Republic P-43 Lancer Single-engine single-seat propeller fighter aircraft Republic P-44 Rocket Unbuilt single-engine single-seat propeller fighter aircraft Republic P-47 Thunderbolt Single-engine single-seat propeller fighter Republic XP-69 Unbuilt single-engine single-seat propeller fighter Republic XP-72 Prototype single-engine single-seat propeller fighter Republic RC-3 Seabee Single-engine four-seat pusher propeller amphibious aircraft Republic XF-12 Rainbow Four engine long-range reconnaissance/transport aircraft Republic F-84 Thunderjet Single-engine single-seat jet fighter-bomber Republic XF-91 Thunderceptor Single-seat jet/rocket interceptor Republic F-84F Thunderstreak Single-engine single-seat jet fighter Republic XF-103 Unbuilt single-seat jet/ramjet interceptor Republic RF-84F Thunderflash Single-engine single-seat jet reconnaissance aircraft Republic XF-84H Thunderscreech Prototype single-engine single-seat turboprop fighter Republic F-105 Thunderchief Single-engine single-seat jet fighter-bomber Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II 1972 Twin-engine single-seat jet ground attack aircraft Republic-Ford JB-2 (1944) pulse-jet pilotless guided missile, an American copy of the German V-1 flying bomb Of course I believe reini has offered to co-host ?
