  1. Airfix's Boeing Clipper in the airliner scale. This is a SK602 boxing from 1967 - original tool and box and older than me. Compared to my ongoing/previous attempt at this subject its mostly much crisper, with no sink marks and few blemishes (that one was a 1988 edition). Dry fit looks very good, hope not to wreck the detail this time. Again I have no intention of scribing this beast, the fine raised lines work better in this scale anyway.. My previous build has some history of the Clippers - great aircraft three-quarters the size of a 747 but air fares as much as Concorde. Not sure if its Ok to duplicate those posts, so here is a link to the thread. So what do we have. Box old and worn but it was all there when I started: Contents. Classic clear Airfix stand, lovely shiny plastic and written instructions! Close up of fuselage and a wing Lots of clear bits, all of which will be discarded. I'll use Krystal Klear. The props are very flashy, the only case of bad casting. Must have been a bad shot, my later kit has much better props. I may swap them over. Very old and yellow decals, again I'll use the other model's sheet as the two schemes don't share anything and this one will probably fall apart. The other one may fall apart as well, in which case I will have a problem. So lets get on with it. I hope to get basic construction done this weekend, may even get primer on. There will be a disaster of some kind at some point...
  2. Airbus A319 I completed a month ago. Not perfect, but getting better. I'm currently building the same kit again in a personalised livery (will post on here when done, if it succeeds) Goes together relatively easily. On my second time round i'll be paying more attention to the join lines on the engines. If you go for the CM56 option, i've noticed the starboard engine on both kits didn't fit together. The IVAE engines (pictured) seem to fit consistently. Chris
  3. Hi there, After the Air New Zealand A320 decals, Attach Before Flight has released another two decal sheets, this time for Azerbaijan Airlines: These two, just like the ANZ sheet are printed by BOA in the Czech Republic. I have bought the A320 sheet because some of these jets had/ have a bit of extra colour, carrying titles for the 1st European Games held in Azerbaijan's capital Baku in 2015. Maybe I'll go for a double build: Azerbaijan A320 and Indian Airlines A320... Cheers, Niki
  4. Ok while having a long boring nightshift I have come up with an idea for a GB which could include almost everyone! A South Latin American GB Ok after lots of requests by everyone.....well Steve anyway, I had a think about this and decided to open it up to the rest of Latin America. This GB will now cover anything and everything South American "of the border", as long as it was used there or built there it’s ok. There should be a bit of something for everybody here with all forms of transport covered, both military and civilian, even the automotive crowd with Dakar bikes/cars/trucks So countries eligible; Argentina Bolivia Brazil Chile Colombia Costa Rica Cuba Dominican Republic Ecuador El Salvador Gaudeloupe Guatemala Guyana Haiti Honduras Mexico Nicaragua Panama Paraguay Peru Puerto Rico Suriname Uruguay Venezuela Plus French Guiana Falkland Islands Martinique Saint Barthelemy Saint Martin The are some amazing and interesting subjects available which you wouldn't normally see or think about.....so what do you think?
