Hi All, this is Airfix's Spitfire Vc; the decent one, not the starter kit. Its a really nice kit and goes together very well, as most of their later kits do. I had no problems with the fit of the wings to the fuselage, a problem some seem to have encountered, and no filler was used at these joints. Stencils are from the kit's decals and the national markings and aircraft serials are from the Xtradecals 'History of 74 Squadron' sheet. 74 Sqn spent the two years from April '42 to April '44 in various locations in the Middle East, with a short stay in Sep-Oct '43 at RAF Nicosia in Cyprus. The model depicts Spirfire Vc 'L' taking off from RAF Nicosia in early Oct '43, retracting the undercarriage and accelerating to climbing speed; heading out on a CAP over the eastern Mediterranean.

Yes another Spitfire Build using the 1/72 Airfix Spitfire Vc. I am not sure how it will end, that depends on time and it running out. I feel that I am already behind the drag curve by starting on Boxing Day. The kit bought from Newark Air Museum:
