I believe that 2024 will be a challenge for all of us to do even better and we will certainly have many nice new models to come. So, what’s coming and what’s coming? So, short and to the point: We will start with the first quarter of 2024, when we will continue our long-running line of 1/72nd scale Mustangs. After the successful P-51B/C and Mk.III series, the moulds for the two-seat TP-51B versions are in the pipeline. The same is also true with the P-51D-5 versions, and we will continue with the P-51D-10/15/20, P-51K and others in this extensive „Mustang“ family. Fans of modernity of our air force will be pleased with the brand new LET L-410UVP in 1/72 scale. Yes, we once released in AZmodel the vintage Turbolet by Gavia , but times are different and so now the molds for the new , shape and size correct Turbolet are in preparation. Later on there will also be a version of L-410A/M. Here I want to thank Firma49 for their help with 3D modelling. Fans of the First War will be pleased this year with the new Halberstad CL.II and Cl.IV models, Nieuport Ni- 11 Bebe / Ni-16 and the Avro 504K family. We will also offer you other Bf 109 and DH.9. For the „civil airline collector“ we have, after a long delay, finished moulds for the SAAB-340 and SAAB 2000 models in 1/200 scale. In 1/144 we are resuming production of the Yakovlev Yak-40 and from the new moulds the Tupolev Tu-134A/B. We have also prepared many modified reissues of older models from our or cooperating production. Unwanted PUR parts and etched parts are „removed“ from the models according to the latest trends. Everything is replaced with new plastic parts or even new transparent parts. In this format are in preparation for example models of Breda 65-A-80, MiG-17F, Fiat G-50, Fokker C-X , Messerschmitt Bf 108, H.P. Hampden Mk.I, Airspeed Oxford and others. In 1/48 scale there is MS.406, Ki-48 Lily and Gotha G.V. Also our company has purchased several molds from „second“ hand in 2023. Sales or preparations for distribution of Sukhoi Su-22M4, Sukhoi Su-22UM, Robinson R-44, Zlin C-106/Z-381 models are underway. From the cooperation with the company Směr Praha is surprisingly successful sale of the Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc model in the KP-Club line edition. These models are intended for beginners, unpretentious modellers, and in comparison to the Směr models they contain „plastic in grey“, new camouflage schemes and new decals (can be used also for older Směr models). We are now preparing for sale Yakovlev Yak-3, Messerschmitt Me-262A, Bloch MB-152, LeO 451 etc. Finally, for the pleasure of your eye, we present a few boxart of our upcoming new kits by our court painter – Carlos Alonso from Spain, who is inherently and rightfully part of the KP/AZ team. Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1 "JG.77" (AZ7805) 1:72 AZ Model Kits The BF 109 has inherited quite a legendary status and when you look into its service career, it's certainly obvious why. Viewing the design in retrospect, it looks just like a typical fighter of the WWII era, but it was more than that, it was the very platform that the single seat fighter format was born from. Powerful engine, monocoque airframe, all metal construction, enclosed cockpit and retractable gear this was unheard of before hand, it was radical, not typical in the 1930's. Its birth wasn't perfect however, to achieve its performance, some sacrifices were made, particularly in the landing gear arrangement and high wing loading having a negative effect on landing speeds compared to the competition at the time. This inherent design issue was never fully cured and it's estimated that at least 10% of all 109's were lost in take off accidents. Early models (A-D) were powered by the Junkers jumo engine with outputs of around 700hp. The aircraft was first used in combat during the Spanish Civil War where many lessons were learned and these would be later put to good use in battles over France and Britain. The E or Emil model broke the mould in 109 development by changing to the more powerful Daimler Benz DB 601 engine of around 1080hp, a significant step in performance and also in armament due to the introduction of 20mm cannon. By 1939, all earlier variants had been replaced in frontline service. As the variants progressed, so did the level of armour protection for the pilot. Another critical element to improve survivability was the use of twin radiators with cut off valves meaning that if one radiator was damaged, the other could be used to keep it airborne. The Emil was the primary Luftwaffe fighter until 1941 when the F model became widely available with more powerful engine although a few managed to see combat in the Battle of Britain. For an aircraft that broke the mould with fighter technology and performance in the mid 30's, it's evolution meant that whilst it's design had exhausted improvement capability towards the end of the war, it stayed in operational use until 1965 in Europe in the guise of the Spanish licence built HA 1112 using the Merlin power plant. During its 30 year career, more than 33,000 were built, a record that will probably never be beaten. The Kit This is a new decal issues, for their brand new tool kits from 2020 from. The quality is first class with crisp moulding and fine engraved panel lines. Given the small size of the real aircraft, in 1/72 the model is quite diminutive, but seems well detailed. There are many parts on the sprue including a full set of wings, different wheels, and different spinners so no doubt other marks can be built from the box, and either way the modeller will have lots of spare parts. Construction starts with the cockpit. The floor and rear bulkhead are moulded as one. The seat is added alongside the control column with belts being provided as decals. The front bulkhead with the instrument panel goes in, here the instruments are provided as decal. The prop is constructed next with different spinners for the E and E-1. The cockpit then goes into the right fuselage. Up front there is no engine but a lower plate for the radiator and a pair of exhausts. Once these are in the fuselage can be closed up. Now we move to the wings with the radiators being fitted in before the wings are assembled. There is a single lower wing with split left and right uppers. Once assembled this can added to the fuselage. The main landing gear is ten assembled and added, followed by the tail wheel. Moving back to the top of the aircraft the front engine cover/gun area can be added along with the pilots head armour. The prop can be fitted along with the engine intake and the canopy. On the underside a carrier for a bomb, or different carrier for a fuel tank can be added as needed. The last items to be added are the tail planes along with their supporting struts. Markings The glossy decal sheet is printed in house and looks sharp and in register. There are three decal options available from the decal sheet, all from JG.77 (no surprise there) Conclusion It is good to see a new tool out of this most famous aircraft. I am no 109 expert but it looks to be a well detailed and engineered kit. Highly recommended. Review sample courtesy of

Hi folks! Here'e my Bf 109 G-4 / R6 from AZmodel. It represents a Bf 109 of 13.JG52 (Slow)in 1943, Kuban in Russia. The kit is almost OOB, seat belts are from Eduard PE painted set, instrument panel is from Yahu Models. Gunze Sangyo aqueous acrilycs RLM 76, 75, 74 were used for main camouflage; the polka dots on engine cowling were hand brushed using Humbrol 154 yellow. I believe that those dots were yellow and not RLM 76 or dirty white. Looking at the pictures of the real aircraft you can see, through the yellow dots, the original camouflage and the demarcation between 74/75 upper colors and the bottom 76 colors. Dots are, in my opinion, of a different color respect the RLM 76 showing through. Hope you'll like it. Cheers!

Kit: AZ Model Supermarine Attacker FB.2 (#AZ7599) Scale: 1/72 Paints: Vallejo Model Air, Vallejo Metal Colour, Tamiya spray Weathering: Flory Models Wash Quite simple kit but wasn't the easiest build. Wing attachment in particular was bit tricky and needed some fitting. Instructions were rubbish too, missing things and clear mistakes. Also the decal sheet and stencil placement details were all over the place, for example not enough of specific stencils were included in the sheet and so on. Decals themselves were quite thin and brittle with a lot of clear film around the decals - but settled down beautifully. Painted with Tamiya AS-12 spray but the weather was bit too cold so the surface wasn't as nice and smooth as I hoped. Panel lines ranged from nice and crisp to huge gaps and very soft & non-existent, depending on the placement. I should have rescribed it all around but decided not to, fearing it might end in the shelf of doom. Supermarine Attacker - FAA's first operational jet fighter - was acquired by Pakistan Air Force in 1953, only a year before the type was retired from FAA. Pakistan continued to use this de-navalised version until 1964. I was not sure what the 'de-navalisiation' included, but I opted to remove the tail hook and close the opening.

Even with the limited qualities of the radar, it gave VPAF some night fighter capability. Directed to the target area by ground controller and turning the radar on at the last possible moment to surprise the enemy. This tactic was pioneered by Lam Van Lich who took of alone in the evening of february 3rd 1966 to intercept Skyraiders. At the target area he detected and fired upon two Skyraiders - and got credited the first VPAF night kills (US sources do not confirm these kills). Getting started with the VPAF builds, here is the second one: Back of the box. The stuff we're gonna use - contents of the box and some aftermarket enhancements (atleast I hope they are enhancements). Little bit of resin, which should make Rich happy. We'll see how we marry this to the plastic fuselage. Hoping that those white spots are just dust and not cracks. Detail is bit soft on some places but in general it's pretty decent for a smaller manufacturer. I think we can make a good looking MiG out of this. Aftermarket stuff were gonna use. Masks, metal guns & pitot and resin ejection seat. Here's the scheme and decals - more info about it at the top of this post. Now that I've finished a Group Build Corsair and waiting on parts to print for my other current build got me to thinking what to build next( I know that's hazardous)? So I came up with something in the same vein as the Corsair.... AZ Model's Kawasaki KI-48-I Type 99 "Sokei" Lily WiITH! KI-148 I-GO-1 Missile and trolley. Might as well admit up front, this will not be an OOB build I'm going to see what and how much I can stuff into this little plane. So if you feel like tagging along Welcome aboard! The bar is open and comfey seating abounds. As always all comments, suggestions, kibitzing and general catcalls and mayhem are welcome. So without further ado lets get this party started, shall we?

Languishing nearly forgotten and neglected as decoy, what was left of MJ271 still looked like a Spitfire and therefore was an attractive option for a small war museum in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. It was sold for one Guilder (as a symbolic amount - can't have the Air Force giving away stuff after all, it's taxpayer money!) and displayed on the grounds. Enterprising youngsters quickly employed it as a climbing rack, so to spare the worst the aircraft was moved to the roof. Not that it really worked.. A first restoration attempt fizzled out in the mid-70s due to lack of interest. The second attempt was more successful however. By this time the museum had closed, and thanks to the efforts of Spitfire aficionado Harry van der Meer it was sold to the National Air Museum Aviodome at Schiphol in 1978. MJ271 being dismantled from the old location @ Delfzijl - Image courtesy strijdbewijs.nl MJ271 was restored by Harry (now curator at Aviodome) with the assistance and help of Fokker trainees and KLM, and instead of the standard RAF Grey/Green the decision was made to make this Spit a bit more unique. Dutch Spitfires served with 322 Sqn in the Dutch East Indies where they were repainted in Jungle Green & light blue. Suitably redone, MJ271 now assumed the identity of another, MH424/H-53 and as such she would be part of the exhibition up until 2006. However, the move from Schiphol to Lelystad Airport in 2003 meant declining visitor numbers, and to recoup some of the losses, MJ271 was sold in 2006 into long term storage. Unfortunately, that didn't do her much good and prospects for restoration were dim. Until... Some enterprising chaps decided it was a good idea to fly a Spit around the world... MJ271 was purchased by the Boultbee Flight Academy in 2016 and was offered to the Aircraft Restoration Company (ARC) at Duxford for restoration and to make her airworthy again. That process took nearly three years, and in preparation a newer engine, larger oil tanks and extra fuel tanks were installed. June 2019 saw her first post-restoration flight and with the civil registration G-IRTY started her travel around the world on august 5th 2019. And the rest, they say, is history. Hi all Hope you are all well and able to stay safe. I have had this one on the shelf of Doom for a while and inspired by others on here with their shelf of doom builds I decided to finish this off. I started this last year as part of the Flying Boats and Floatplanes GB II but did not finish in time. This is the AZ \Model 1/48 Grumman Gosling. Here is the link to the started GB thread Built OOB with the addition of new scratch built seat frames, Consul above windscreen with throttle levers, Aileron actuator levers, ring aerial, hand grabs and cleats. The kit is brush painted as usual with Humbrol enamels and washed with Oils. The rigging and aerial wire is invisible thread. For a limited run Kit it was an enjoyable build. I was going to do the props as they would have been in wood below however did not think this would have been like this at the time used by the FAA I wasn't happy with the colour of the roundels being a bit too bright, but did not have anymore and I have already bought too many goodies recently !!!
