  1. I was doing research on A-20's as I do and came across an anomaly, the famous A-20G 43-9224 'La France Libre" marked on every model and decal sheet and in books as 5H-E of the 668th BS should in fact be F6-E of the 670th BS, all reference material refer to it as 5H-E of the 668th BS 416 BG , except the 416th BG web page and mission logs they refer to it as F6-E of the 670th BS, amazing how literally everything else has a different Sqn ID to the the web page of the actual unit that operated it. Does anyone have an actual photo of the side with Sqn codes and serial to confirm . I find it in
  2. Hi comrades! Here is my take on AMT kit. Despite the kit's age, it was a pleasant build. Aftermarket used: Foxbot decals (excellent!) Eduard brass (intermediate, not everything helpful) True detail resin wheels and rescue inflatable boat - (nice) Montex masks for canopy and standard markings (excellent) Quickboost engines, cowlings and browning's - (good, but engines were additionally wired ) Scratchbuilt: engines wiring, wheel wells wiring, wings navigation lights, tail light enhanced. Thanks for looking The b
  3. Hi Comrades! My recent build is old but good AMT A-20G. This is original boxing. I will replace decals with Foxbot ones. Additions includes Eduard brass (interior and exterior, partly useful), True details wheels, Montex masks and Quickboost engines and cowlings. So far I assembled fuselage halves with some scratch additions, corrected the wing root profiles for better fit, and finished wheel wells and cockpit with some brass and scratch. The only problematic places are on gondola to upper wings connection. No major problems so far.
  4. Hi Comrades! I'm build now A-20G bomber of 388BS, 312 BG based on Philippines, Summer 1945. From my knowledge, the upper camouflage consisted of Medium Green "waves" over olive drab on wings and tail surfaces. But on the photo of my prototype appears that it's uniform (but non-uniformly faded) olive drab only... Is it possible that late war A-20's were camouflaged (upside) only with OD? Thanks in advance!
  5. Hi all, I want to continue a series of models of American aircraft of World War II that I post on this site. This time it will be A-20G “Havoc” from Italery. This model was made in the spring of 2012. I used a set of machine guns and engines from Vector, decals from Zot `s, a set of wheels from True details, photo-etched from Eduard and Airwaves. Model is going pretty bad, I had to put spacers in the fuselage and wings, and all the joints had to be covered with putty. In addition I want to draw attention to a set of photo-etched Eduard 48127. If not to cut parts details 5/11 and 9/10 it will
