  1. Having almost cleared one model of the bench it is time for the next to take its place. I have selected the Lancia 037 with 7up decals because I like the ugliness of the Lancia and the 7up decals are a bit different to the classic Martini scheme. I used Rejimodel decals on my last build and found them a dream to use but looking at these for the first time I am not sure they will work as well, the black looks a bit clumsy, like they are out of register a bit. It is really noticeable on the Michelin decals. Hopefully they will go on ok, if not I will be changing scheme…. i am also going to use a photoetch set which is also from Rejimodel. I will definitely use it for the grills but might leave some bits off if I don’t think they improve things much. The kit I am using is the Hasegawa Chardonnet offering (number 20264)
  2. Ok, got home from work & sorted through my stash. Hasegawa Phantom FGR.2 1/48. Using decals from the AirDoc set to make 19 Squadron's XV470 as depicted on the box art from Fujimi's 1/72 Phantom FGR.2 Quite why this is the 'Last British Phantom' I am not sure, maybe they are being Uber Pedantic and refer to the FG.1 as the 'First British Phantom'... ... but there you go, that's the Japanese for you. Eduard cockpit & masks, Quickboost seats and some Aeries wheels. I'm looking forward to this, love building these Hasegawa Phantoms. Airfix's offering next year had better be pretty good to beat it! Oh, sorry RMP2 but it will be low-viz... From what I can see most of the Phantom's colours are low-viz for most of the 80's. I'm saving up my grey/green decals for the 70's group build...
