  1. I present my Revell 787-8 Dreamliner in the Qatar Airways livery. I saw this Aircraft at EDI in May 2017 and wanted to build it as the pilots waved at my then 2 year old Daughter and it made her day. I also find the colours of Qatar Airways very elegant. The build was OOB. I did enjoy the build of this kit, however some of the ‘extra details’ aren’t including in this kit like the antennas. I like how well the kit goes together and only minimal filling was required (although I am trying to get the hang of the filling and sanding process). I think I might buy the Zvezda kit in the fu
  2. Zvezda 787-9 Virgin Atlantic Dreamliner G-VNEW Kit - Zvezda 787-9 Decals Pas Decals (Titles & Doors) Authentic Airliners (windows) Paints Revell 4 White Gloss & Xtracolor MICA1 (fuselage) Revell 4 White Gloss (Wings and horizontal stabilizers) Tamiya ts18 Metallic Red (Tail & engines) Thanks for looking!
  3. been busy.... Fancied building a dreamliner kit for a while now, I had previously considered doing a 787-8 to 787-9 conversion job but when Zvezda brought out the 787-9 kit I couldn't resist. Like most Zvezda kits its beautifully detailed. To my surprise the fuselage halves didn't go together as well as I'd expected and then i had a slight hiccup. All i will say is don't use a superglue with a fast cure! When working on the wings be sure to be careful with the raked wingtips, they can be easily snapped off if they brush against something, which is what happened to my zvez
  4. This is my latest build, Zvezda's 787. I used the 26 Decals set for the livery, and I can definitely reccomend it!
  5. Boeing 787 Dreamliner. This particular 787, test designated as ZA002 and registered as N787EX (msn 40691), is the second Boeing 787-8 to be produced. The airplane flew for the first time on December 22, 2009, joining what would become a six-airplane flight test and certification program for the 787-8. The primary focus of ZA002 was testing systems performance. Boeing donated this aircraft to the Pima Air & Space Museum, Tucson, Arizona, USA. Pics thanks to Paul Bradley.
  6. Hell fellow modellers. I have finally completed my Norwegian Air Shuttle fleet. A project that has lasted me far too long. The first model being the Revell 737-800, LN-NOL, was finished back in November 2012. The -300 was completed back in January 2014. Now, two years later, the Dreamliner is complete. My target back in the days, was to model one of each plane type in the 2012 fleet. The -300 has now been withdrawn from service. The Dreamliner has switched registration, so its now on norwegian registration; LN-LNA, and accordingly, the 737-800 has changed from LN-NOL to EI-FHC. The N
  7. Hi there, After the Air New Zealand A320 decals, Attach Before Flight has released another two decal sheets, this time for Azerbaijan Airlines: These two, just like the ANZ sheet are printed by BOA in the Czech Republic. I have bought the A320 sheet because some of these jets had/ have a bit of extra colour, carrying titles for the 1st European Games held in Azerbaijan's capital Baku in 2015. Maybe I'll go for a double build: Azerbaijan A320 and Indian Airlines A320... Cheers, Niki
  8. Chaps. Nice to see something like this being used properly. Rick.
  9. Well, I realise it's a bit late in the day to start a WIP on this one, but technically it's not finished yet, so here goes. I picked up this kit quite cheaply from Creative Models and I am quite pleased with it. 1/200 is not a scale I've built in before, but for aircraft of this size it still gives a fairly sizable model. On the whole, this is a good kit - fit is generally very good, with a couple of minor exceptions (wing halves). It looks pretty accurate to me, and unlike the Zvezda/Revell version includes separate parts for the Trent 1000 and GEnX engines (although to be honest the differen
  10. Hello Everyone I would like to do a British Airways 787-8, but im unsure what colour to do the engines, it seems to be mixed. Some people seem to thin k they will be white, others think blue. Does anyone know what colout they will be? Thanks Bradley
