  1. Hallo Just give me an idea about built ww2 a/c kits, and the quality. As well instruction as detail and fitting. The model accuracy is also important. Let me know if someone had hands on, and really have experience! Thanks in forward. Happy modelling
  2. Hallo Has someone any experience with quality and accuracy of this FPW engines? https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=600605248769067&set=a.545617137601212&locale=de_DE Happy modelling
  3. Hallo Now this is after a long brake with resin kits my first since a very long time. I built two kits of this He-51 in the past. One from Classic Airframe and another from Roden. Today I have a better kit. This time in scale 1/32. Since I live in Vienna, I intend to build the aircraft from JG.223 3. Staffel from Vienna in 1938. After getting out all parts, I cleaned them in a proper way. So that they are actually ready for use. I had to notice, that some parts are missing. This is a bitter moment. The most disappointing missing part is the entry hatch. So, depending on Silverwing, I wrote a mail already, I will have to build it in scratch. I do not have any literature about this type. No detail shots. All I have is like a ragpicker I went through the web. I found some nice photos. So therefore the call for you, if you have detail photos or drawings from this type, let me know. The catch with the rigging of the plane is the same as I saw it in all other kits before. Nothing new. My question are basically the interior and the rigging technique. I assume it could be equivalent to the Gladiator by using flat metal as rigging material by itself. So far for today with some pictures. Happy modelling
  4. Sopwith Pub RFC The kit is WNW. Scale 1/32. As usual a good kit, an instruction with some weird instruction steps. So I had to memorize it and built it straight way. The rigging was no problem at all, since we developed a good technique already. You can find all in the forum anyway. In summery it took me 2 months beside my job. Happy modelling

  8. Hallo Here is my Flycatcher. After a long time my first resin kit again. It was not easy. Many troubles caused the fuselage cross-section bottom, with was bend inward. So I had to fill with CA and to grind many hours, to throw the unfinished kit in the basket was meanwhile an option. I took my teeth and struggled on. You see the result. What is your opinion? Happy modelling
  9. Hallo This is my next (after many) WNW kit. The Dh 9a is a quite big and powerful a/c. Well, I built so far quite straight from the box. Seatbelts are waiting for tomorrow. Nothing special. As you see, I lost one dial. It is replaced in meantime. Happy modelling
  10. Because of an error in my Dh.9a I cam across this correction site: http://www.wingnutwings.com/ww/15B48F884B9E3140CCA0F16140ED0BF5 Check your stash! Happy modelling
  11. Hallo Now I finished my Dolphin. The rigging was unspectacular. One of the holes in the struts to get the struts rigged, vanished due to plastic glue. But in general nice built. See my WIP. Next will be the DH 9a from WNW. Happy modelling
  12. Hallo Yesterday I had a nightmare with my new ICM Ju-88 kit. All wrong to the outmost and awful engineered. After this shock, I took a deep breath and considered what to do next! I decided to take any Wing Nut Wing in my shelf. I have enough at my storage, including a Gotha, which I may get at my birthday, as far as my wife keeps her promise. So it will be the Dolphin. Nice kit, nice working and today I did plastic work. Tomorrow I have to spray. I am not sure about doing the internal rigging or not. I am little afraid to destroy or weaken the framework when drilling 0,3 mm. Well, for spraying I want to make masks and to try to avoid decals. At least for roundels. We will see. Happy modelling
  13. Hallo So, actually almost finished. The areal is not done yet. The goal was all spraying, and no use of any decal. Well, let me know what you think about this! Happy modelling
  14. Hallo The kit was on one side easy, on the other side frowzy. Look, the cockpit by itself is inaccurate to the outmost. The front section is a narrow tube with protection cushion just on the left side. Right side blanked out. The Revi is neglected, no position at all. (I lost mine during installation inside). The cockpit is open to the front, so when anything gets lost it is lost. The hand wheel for opening the canopy, oh the position is wrong. No chance to install it where it should be. And so on. All around the model you find ambuscade due to sloppy design. A nightmare. Oh, decals and stencils for the waste basket only! More information on my WIP. Happy modelling
  15. Hallo This is now my Fw-190 A-5 in 1/32 from Hasegawa. The plastic built was straightforward. A few flaws caused me wondering: · Wheel bay inner doors actuator position left unknown · The outer wing MG omitted · The fuselage MG holes are sloppy and awful defined · The engine parts, for gear and push rods are misleading due to 180° holes and pins · At the cockpit the cushioning on the right side is omitted It is no matter at all for me, but for a beginner it may cause a headache or a spoiled model. I just wonder about such an inadvertence. Now my model should become the black 7 from JG 54. I have original photos from this a/c and from this squadron too. So, the inner wheel well doors are on. All markings I will spray with Gunze C colors. All markings first with Montex masks. White base for yellow and marking in C316. Happy modelling
  16. Bücker 133 Jungmeister I suggested ICM, my Christmas desire, to get a Jungmeister in scale 1/32. The response is open, since ......I will send it to our Design Department and...... Who also wants to get one more trainer biplane in this scale? Just write them a letter. [email protected] If it is also your desire! Happy modelling
  17. Hallo This kit was a challange. Since many plastic and etched parts in the cockpit area had to be redisigned. Happy modelling
  18. Hallo again This is my Hellcat from Trumpeter in 1/32. I took Eduard etched parts to get details done. The wing fold set from Eduard is an example of ignorance of geometry. Profile joints (L_profile) are all wrong! I'm happy to explain things to someone when mistakes occur. However, if I find that someone does not want to think about his mistakes, or if he shows me with all the violence as right, I will break off any discussion. So it happened with this particular company. I had to do my best and to hide which cannot be shown. Happy modelling
  19. Hallo again This is my Fw-190 D in 1/32. The kit is Hasegawa. Here I used the Aires cockpit set. However, I failed to install it correct. Due to an awful instruction, the dashboard is in a wrong position. The proper instruction for resin cockpits or resin parts anyway, are hardly to find. Wolfpack is (so far as my experience) the best, but I do not use it often. Would like to hear your response. Anyway, all markings I sprayed. No decal! Also the stencils are wet transfers. Happy modelling
  20. Hallo again This Arado in 1/32 is from Fly. The kit is not easy to build. The instruction is good. I intended to build the night fighter option, but due to the lack of correct positions of the antennas, I choose another option. The cockpit is very difficult. With the items from Yahoo, it went great on. I brought some books about it with drawings, so I could get on easily. The masks where of great help. The masks for the cockpit from NewWare are excellent! Well, so far a nice build. Happy modelling
