This a model we made for my sister as a birthday present. My husband did most of the work, I did the interior and we both made the glass case. The only decals we used were the stencils and insignia. My husband made the paint masks himself for the scheme using a scale-checked scan of the decals.- 17 replies

I joined the forum at the end of February 2012, and that coincides with my starting to shift towards plastic modelling rather than railway modelling. I've been putting off making this list since I found I finished less than I would've liked, but maybe if I put it up it'll encourage me to at least get Surcouf onto a stand before the weekend Britmodeller has been an awesome source of inspiration this year and has got me making models instead of just looking at them. Hasegawa Ju87D Stuka in 1/32, with Eduard etch and Mastercasters' exhausts and prop blades. Built for the Big Scale Group Build (WIP, Flickr) Bandai Shinkai 6500 DSV in 1/48. (WIP, Flickr) Aoshima reissue of IMAI's Mole in 1/72, with motors and lights (WIP, Flickr) Tamiya T-55 "Enigma" in 1/35 - still haven't painted the commander (WIP, Flickr) Games Workshop Ork Bommer in 28mm (WIP, Flickr) Hobby Boss U-boot type VIIB in 1/350 (WIP, Flickr) I also finished off a module for my model railway around Easter time: Whitemarsh Yard in 1/72 (Flickr) and painted some minis at the start of the year: Games Workshop's Dreadfleet (Flickr) I started but didn't finish a Dragon Wagon and M4A3 in 1/72, Porco Rosso's Savoia in 1/48, Surcouf in 1/350, Space Battleship Yamato in 1/500, and an F-22 in 1/72.
