Revell 1/720 Graf Zeppelin. I guess this is somewhat of a whiff as the ship was never finished. Built for TLC GB WIP:

I have this in the stash for the last 30 years, but it's in the remote part of the stash. I wasn't sure I'd be able to access it in time, so I bought the re-release with shiny new decals! As a very first step, I mated the upper wings to the fuselage halves. The fit was very good for a kit from 1967, which is older than me! Dry-fitting these sub-assemblies was encouraging: These depressions on the ailerons will need correcting at some point: Work on the interior: I decided to paint those areas of the outer fuselage around the windows, before attaching them. I even painted the inner edges of the frames, as almost all windows attach to the inside of the fuselage. More "progress" tomorrow.

Hi Everyone, Here is my 6th completed build of 2015, the Revell 1:720 scale Nimitz class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76. The Ronald Reagan is the ninth of ten Nimitz class aircraft carriers and the only one to be named after a still living former president at the time of her christening in 2001. Here is the link to her page on Wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Ronald_Reagan She is the sister ship of USS Theodore Roosevelt (which recently visited the UK). CVN-76 is to replace the USS George Washington (CVN-73) as the forward deployed aircraft carrier in Yokosuka, Japan. Anyway here are the photos. My only criticisms with this kit are the extremely weak propellor shafts and the decals for the flight deck markings which are extremely hard to position straight and twist easily. Thanks for looking. ATB, Rick

Hi Everyone, Here is one of my projects which requires completing. I am working on this project whilst working on the Enterprise E. This is the Revell 1:720 scale of the USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76, the second to last of the Nimitz class aircraft carriers, which when completed is 46.6 cm from bow to stern and composed of 180 parts. It has a skill level of 5. This kit comes supplied with the hull completed for a waterline, which if you want to complete it as a full you have to cut the hull away and then fit it back to the lower hull with a section cut out to allow a bulbous bow to be attached. The photo below shows the first approximately 10 stages of the build completed. More progress to follow.
