  1. A new thread to capture WIP stuff that doesn’t fit with my Falklands themed thread. Anyone who has read that will know I have a bunch of Airfix Sea Harrier bits lying around that didn’t get used after I realised the Esci/Italeri version was so much more accurate in outline. I don’t like to bin unbuilt plastic (which is funny given that I rarely keep my finished builds for long!) so how better to use up some of the Airfix bits than another Frankenharrier - this time a T.4 cobbled together with a mixture of Heller/Bobcat fuselage, SHAR wings and spare seats from my GR.3 builds. Hopefully once a PJ Production crew is onboard, the relative lack of interior gubbins won’t be visible. The front seater has gained a rudimentary IP from another spare. 2. when i was clearing out some old boxs, found a few of my busted up old 1980's Zoids. This one needed 2 legs, his head, some outer armour and the fin repairing. I couldn't get the motor working so need to look into getting a replacement for that. I then repaint him and then drill out the gun barrels and the vents on the legs cut out. The zoid purists will hate me for it but I'm very happy with the way it has turned out.
  3. Hi all, I've been away from the Vehicle Modelling area of the forum for a while, but fear not, I have been busy with work and also a GB. This is the result of the group build. WIP here. Full Google Photo album here. Enjoy the photos, I welcome any comments you may have. Thanks for looking, Terry
  4. This GB is offering up a number of firsts for me; First GB First Ferrari Model First Hasegawa kit First kit that has anything to do with the year i was born First time flocking anything First red model on display So as per the title i will be building the Hasegawa 1:24 Ferrari 328 GTB. It will likely be built OOB, with maybe a couple extra details if i think i needs them, but for simplicity and any hope of being finished on time, not much extra. I will be finishing it in the classic red, with a beige interior, which will be geting some flocking. I will of course post up a build log with a few photos, and i will link to the google photos album where more photos will be housed. Link to all photos in Google Album I look foward to any comments / advice along the way and wish the rest of you luck in this GB. Terry
  5. My next kit will be the 1/48 Airfix Harrier GR.3. Continuing my 80's RAF theme, I'd like to make her as a 233 OCU machine, wrap around camo, circa 86-89. I'll use the underwing drop tanks, but would it be realistic to add one of those finless ACMI pods like a wingless Sidewinder? I saw someone had made one for an F-18 and it looked pretty cool. What colour were the RAF ones then? It looks like I'll have to add the gun pods as the kit doesn't include the under fuselage strakes. I'm hoping the OCU flew with them fitted.
