Just had a look at my Fujimi 1/24 Dino 246 which I plan to build as Danny Wilde's (Tony Curtis) from the TV-show 'The Persuaders'. However I have not been able to find a kit for the 1970 Aston Martin DBS driven by Lord Brett Sinclair (Roger Moore). Was a kit never made? And how about the Bonds cars of the 80'es (V8 Vantage Volante Series II) and 00'es (V12 Vanquish)? Were they made in 1/24? (Haven't forgotten the 90'es, but didnt't Bond just drive BMW's? ) Cheers - and just wondering Hans J

Hello all. Can the Britmodeller community help me out please? I am searching for a science book which I had as a child. I was given it in 1969 or 70 (I think, possibly 1968). It was A4 sized, and had a cover with a drawing/painting of the sun on it, with a predominantly blue background. I cannot recall any photographs in the book, but lots of drawings. It was a general science book, but the main thing I remember was that one of the sections was about the 'INTERNATIONAL GEOPHYSICAL YEAR' of 1957(?) when the sunspots were at a maximum, and that another maximum was due in 1970. This piqued my interest in science in general, and astronomy in particular. I was given it by my Nan and Granddad, and was special because they sent it out from here in the UK to us out in Singapore. Naturally in the meantime it has been lost. I do not know the name of the author or publisher. I thought it would be easy to 'google' the term 'Children's science books published 1968 to 1970' but the range of books that came up included lots of stuff which bore no relation to the term! I was hoping that the cover illustration would stand out like a sore thumb, but nothing turned up. I hope you can help, Thanks for reading this, all the best, Ray

Hello mates! This is my very oldest surviving model that i never gave up, Tamiya 1:100 Frightning. Hardly survived my yobro's abuse (playing dart!!!) and was in pieces until yesterday (as the Sabre) but i reassembled it minus the missing parts to show it to stevej60 and YOU!! You see, as the Germans say: he is also only cooking with water.... So many EE Blitz unbuilt kits i have, but i am a builder not a collector, i think i will start now... Crazy, this early one has recessed lines, later Tamiyas not! (Marketing said: Behave!!! You can't do that! They don't want that!! Puuuuh.....) Cheers!
