Good morning everyone… My first RFI for the year. I present to you my 1/72 Eduard MiG-21R based on the MF kit. The Recon pod is Eduard Brassin resin, the wingtip SPO-3 antenna’s are scratch built. This was built in the MiG-21R single type group build. Bort #2111 was received from the factory in the USSR in 1972 and served until retirement. She was one of 36 R-types used by the Polish Air Force. Pictured alongside my 2nd RFI an EA-18G Growler from the Hornet STGB. Yes they're the same scale. Please feel free to visit my build thread. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235105935-polish-mig-21r/ Dennis

Hello everyone... well I cant just stop at two so I just ordered two more Eduard over-tree’s sets. Both are Mk.VIII’s, the first will be from the CBI Theater, and will be Group Captain Robert Boyd 239 wing 1944. I will add the sprue shots when they arrive. Please feel free to ask questions, post comments, and or add thoughts. Dennis

Hello everyone... well I cant just stop at two so I just ordered two more Eduard over-tree’s sets. Both are Mk.VIII’s, the second will be a Mk.VIII in a nurse shark scheme. though I will be doing RG*V A-58-497 as flown by Wing Commander Bobby Gibbes RAAF. Is this profile accurate with the earth brown ? Or were these Day fighter scheme Dk.Green/Ocean grey ? Please feel free to ask questions, post comments, and or thoughts. Dennis

I am working on using the Eduard kit to make a model of MH434, ZD-B in her original 222 Squadron markings. I seem to recall a pretty comprehensive discussion of her external features in a topic discussion, and I thought I had saved it, but for the life of me, I can't find it in my modeling files or on our website. Can somebody, maybe Graham, help me? I need the following: Narrow or wide cannon blister fairings? Cannon stub fairing outboard of the 20mm Hispanos? Tapered cannon shrouds? Smooth wheel covers? "boat" antenna under fuselage? Standard or dog-eared elevator balance horns? IFF rod antenna under wing? Splined or link-type gear struts? Non gyro gunsight? Anything else I might have missed? I want to do her justice, as IMHO, she's the prettiest and most original Spitfire of them all! Sorry to be a pain, and this might well be a redundant post, but this is one model I want to get right! Thanks in advance for assistance on this! As a thank-you, I have attached a link to a website that I found that has a photo collection of MH434 in all of the schemes she has worn from her inception to the present day- I hope you will enjoy them as much as I have! (I am sooo jealous of those of you in the UK who have seen and heard her in the air!) http://www.sbap.be/events/2016/008ambiorix2016/008ambiorix2016.htm Mike
