Hello everyone... my first of two builds will be a Pink Mk.IX as used on the low level “Dicing” missions. I will add photo’s of the Sprues when the kit arrives tomorrow. I chose Eduards Late IXc over-trees for the build. This is hopefully what it will look like when its done. This will be my first Mk.IX since the late 1980’s, my first spitfire with invasion stripes, and my first ever pink model. Though i will be toning down the pink as the few photo’s i can find show it more off white/pink than true pink. If Im wrong on this please let me know before i paint this. Dennis

My daughter bought me the Weekend 1/72 edition of the Late Spitfire IXc for Christmas. I really enjoyed building this, the only things that would be worth having from the Profi box are the belts and canopy masks. All built with Beatties (yes) liquid poly and painted with Tamiya paints using car screen wash as thinners through my H&S Ultra with the .4 needle fitted. Given the decals took around 3 hours though, "Weekend" was an optimistic hope for me - it actually took January! The markings are for the B option, MK984 of 308 Squadron flying from B.61 airfield in Belgium at the end of '44. Cheers Will
