    Look what the postman just delivered....... Mikro-Mir's 1/350 scale injection-moulded Royal Navy K-Class submarine... MM's box art - showing a steam powered K Boat underway. The instruction sheet consists of simple exploded diagrams - with the etched parts in red.... The painting instructions, etched-brass fret and decals for HMS K4 and K5 The hull is in two vertically-split halves with fine engraved detail - and nearly 1 foot long!! The rest of the injection-moulded parts - including a display stand. This is a very welcome release from Mikro-Mir - of an oddball, but fascinating British submarine - steam-powered to enable it to attain the necessary surface speed to keep up with the Grand Fleet. The whole concept was flawed from the start - with most of the class being lost in tragic accidents - see Wiki for a brief history. I can't wait to get started on this new kit - plus explore the conversion possibilities into a later version - HMS K-26. The hull might even be suitable to scratch HMS X1 Thank you Mikro-Mir Ken
