Hi all. My first 1/35 figure, looking for a bit of a critique, hints tips and comments, very keen to improve: Should it be darker or lighter? If wondering why his bottom trouser legs are dark green and the rest of the trouser is English uniform then this is because he'll be in a diorama of the Reichwald where they had to wade through water burst from a dam and so the cloth has soaked up the water (hope it works) and therefore darkened. Found that I enjoy figures more than any other type of modelling as it really really hard! This took around 7 hours, constantly re-touching. Hard to know when to leave it alone. The face it very difficult and kept losing the mid tones. Now its up loaded in bigger pics I can already see the red hair will need a little attention, as it one flat colour. PS the belt will have a PE brass buckle added after I do the rifle. Thanks for viewing.

I'm hoping to join in with this Group Build if you'll have me. I am attempting to build this Masterbox set, representing Infantry from 1916. My Great Grandfather volunteered in 1915, joined the 4th Field Company Royal Engineers (TF), later renamed to 518th (4th London) Field Company which served with 47th (2nd London) Division. The Division served at Vimmy Ridge, Ypres, Somme, Messines, 3rd battle of Ypres and on into Germany. Great Grandad certainly served at Ypres, Somme, Messiness & 3rd battle of Ypres at some point he transferred to 9th Scottish Division but unfortunately we do not know which Field Company (63rd, 64th or 90th) and when. He finished the wat in Cologne and was demobbed in Feb 1919. I thought I would do this set as part of the 47th London Division, maybe 1/8th Battalion City of London Regiment (Post Office Rifles). This is the set I am attempting... Sprue shot I started by assembling the figures enough so the I could prime and paint the main part of the figures, no heads arms or equipment so far.. We'll how it goes - thanks for stopping by
