The kit dates back to 1980 with a bit of a retool in 1988 (I think) to bring it up to date with the production aircraft. I can't see there have been any other major changes over the years and it still shows it's early roots. I am planning to do a Canadian machine as the first Hornet I saw in the air was from the RCAF at Church Fenton in the late 80's. Cheers, Dave

Hi guys, Since noone is building one of these and I really can't help myself I will join in with this if I may. I will be building it straight from the box and will probably do the Davis Monthan scheme. Dave

Hi guys, I couldn't miss this GB as I was 9 when all this kicked off and still have some strong memories of all the news updates etc. I am in with the Airfix reboxing of the Special Hobby kit, which apparently is not the easiest of builds so I will probably regret it! I also have the Xtradecals Falklands sheet so I may use those instead of the kit scheme. Cheers Dave

Hi guys, I have had this one a long time so it is probably about time I built it. It is obviously a SU-15TM, Pioneer (and PM) getting the designator wrong in accordance with mistakes made in NATO reporting. I have no idea how accurate the kit is and it looks pretty crude but it is a Flagon which is good enough for me. I have a set of Begemot decals which should improve things a little. Dave

Hi guys, After my year went to pot totally, I could pick from 15+ unfinished builds, but I am going to go with this beautiful old girl. If I get chance to throw another one into the ring I will, but at the very least I am determined to finish this one! Dave
