  1. Thank you, it was a nice change to do a freehand camo job.
  2. I agree three tri-tone really looks cool on the Corsair.
  3. Well here's my Corsair and a first attempt at post shading using a lightened base colour, hmm not too bad though I think my paint chipping is a bit heavy. Anyway it is a good kit although the cockpit is rather inaccurate ( no biggy in this scale ) and the decals silver regardless of chemical application. I hope you like it, any comments or tips welcome.
  4. Thank you, it was actually easier than I expected so I'm rather pleased with it. BTW is that an Angora rabbit in your profile pic?
  5. Thanks chaps, though I need to kick myself as I noticed this morning I forgot the internal canopy brace. Oh well nevermind.
  6. Also in the group build section, built OOB.
  7. Here's my second and last build of the group build. Hasegawa 1/72 P-51D Built OOB
  8. I have finished my second and last submission to the group build I hope you like it.
  9. I haven't updated in a while, I just seem to get my head down and before I know it the model is done. So I've paused for an update to the Hasegawa P-51d since the Academy kit is finished. I will say that the decals are the total opposite of the Academy's as these are ultra thin and like to twist, fold, distort and just generally be a pain, I'd rather have the academy one's and use lots of solution.
  10. Thanks. I would recommend getting some aftermarket decals since these ones have large carrier film edges to trim and they don't settle well with microset/sol. Also if I were to do another one I'd recommend a PE set for the cockpit and perhaps scratch build a coolant radiator as there is no detail there, and looking into the carb intake you can see right through! Still recommended though sohave fun.
  11. Thanks guys,I think with an AM cockpit, canopy and especially decals ( kit ones don't settle well ) it can be made into an excellent model.
  12. Here's my Academy 1/72 P-51C red Tail, it is built OOB.
