  1. I dont know if Reheat products are still available or even correct for a Hawk, but their Tornado pilots were fantastic. Someone chime in if the figures shown are all wrong for a Hawk so I don't slide them down the ramp in front of my 1/32 Hawk. MP
  2. Unfreakingbelievable detail and attention to realism. Like nothing I have ever seen in a model. Makes my Starfighter look like it's made out of Lego. Beautiful sir!
  3. Great job on the Jag! Like the grey green scheme and the weathering you did too. How were the kit decals? I have had issues with Airfix decals in the past but it looks like you nailed it perfectly.
  4. Very nice workmanship, as always good see your builds on display. The F-84 from JaboG 32 is my favorite. Excellent!
  5. Wow! That is indeed gorgeous in those markings. Great job!
  6. A perfectly done Dora. Like the weathering and subtle shading. Great job!
  7. An epic build and supreme photography make this national award winning model look every bit as impressive as you can imagine. Awesome work Rod! Milt
  8. Pure artistry. That kind of realism takes tons of talent. And you have it spades sir.
  9. It pretty easy. I paint the rings with gloss yellow. Let dry. Cut a 1 inch strip of desired width black decal film. Keep the ring soaked with Micro Set. And loop the decal several times around the rings. Quickly set the spacing until your liking the result and set with Micro Sol or Solva Set. When dry any wrinkles should disappear. I then give it a coat of Tamiya clear to protect it and lightly wash it with brown to dull it down. That's really it. Hope this helps. Much appreciate the positive comments from everyone.
  10. On the Has. 1/48 Starfighter I could not get the main gear properly aligned AND get their support struts in their slots at the same time. I never got it right. I thought the press fit main gear pegs were rubbish and caused the plane to sit crooked. The fins on the wing tanks are severely mis-shapen and out of alignment as keyed in the kit. I ended up sawing the entire tail off the tanks and repositioning them to line up with the wings. The canopy defroster pipes in the 1/32 kit took a holiday in their 1/48 model. Thats a huge omission in detail. And all the rivets look to me like bullet holes. Its just way over done IMO and just not my cup of tea. I'll stick with their 1/32 kit. I hear Italeri might do an all new 1/32 F-104G/S someday but I'm not waiting.
  11. Thank you all very much. I had a lot of fun building this kit. I cant say that about many models I have done as of late. Simon R; . I used AMS Resins MB 7Q seat from Sprue Bros. I added just few wires to detail it. Everything detail wise you see is cast in. Just careful paint work is all it takes. The underwing tanks on this build were ancient KMC models tanks I bought fifteen years ago, but PWMP models in Belguim sent me another set for my next 104 that I liked even more. Jean-Pierre van Regenmortel of PWMP is a great guy and helped me get this kit off the bench. He also made the practice bomb despenser seen below. Nice stuff!
  12. Beautifully done! A real eye opener for someone like me who has several of these in the stash. Thanks for posting it.
  13. I cant figure out what scale it is but WOW that is amazing paint work indeed! Very nicely done.
  14. I wrote to Danny C. of Astra/Daco asking for more info on the mystery zapping decals he included and got zero response. But your right those were the best decals I have ever used and enjoyed all six days applying them. Love your Starfighter.. Starfighter! I was expecting a nightmare build but this old model turned out to be easy to build and I like how everything (wings, landing gear, tail) just lined right up without a fight. I was going the build the Has 1/48 F-104 kit too but after my pal brought his over for help aligning pretty much everything on it, I decided to build another 1/32 kit very soon. Thanks for the inspiration Starfighter!
  15. I wanted to share my latest build. I recently was bitten by the Starfighter bug and built the 1/32 Hasegawa kit with a few extra details. I painted with Xtracolor enamels and weathered (just a tad) with water colors and pastels. I have already gone to two large model expos with it, and the response has been more than I expected. People really like the F-104. Before anyone says "Ooooh you painted the seat pan the wrong color",yeah I know. I dont know what I was looking at when I painted it. Should'a been black. And the flaps should be up and brakes closed. Heard it all on ARC already. CCL. I built it for me and I had a blast doing it. Anyway here she is. Thanks for looking.
  16. It looks fantastic. I just finished one as well from JaboG 32. I wish Daco had more info on some of all those zappings that were on the sheet but were not in the instruction booklet. Well done!
