So how long have you been working for Moebius? LOL Seriously though I think it's about the principal of the thing, namely an item that isn't fit for purpose, I think it is that which irks the OP. Not everyone has a lot of spare cash to throw around these days and that £2:95 coffee might equate as 2-3 weeks pocket money for a young boy. As for purchasing upgrades for the "office" that was a personal choice made you. You could have scratch built your own enhancements. I realise that principles are a dreadfully old fashioned concept these days, but I have been referred to as a senile alcoholic by one board member here so that might be explain it

1/29 Revell T65 X-Wing Fighter
PhantomMajor replied to Lee Chambers's topic in Ready for Inspection - SF & RealSpace
Thats an amazing build you've pulled off there! I love how you have the pilot peering into the range finder you can almost hear him calling out to his wingmen: "Hold them off for a few seconds, I'm almost there.....almost...there" -
Love the grunge look to kit

Fine molds and Revell of Germany replaced parts FoC for me. Revell did ask me for the kit box number stamped on the inside of the box the kit came in. I think this is terrible service tbh and I think you're right in naming and shaming them. I'm disappointed with them for not putting the bsg raptor into production yet. It is now almost 2 years late !

ok well i have finally managed to find some time to do some actual modelling for a change rather than cruising this site at night time. you might be able to make out in my previous post that there was some bowing of the central part of the two fuselage halves which resulted in some fit issues; i'm not entirely sure how this happened, it might have had something to do with the thinners i was using whilst applying enamel washes. needless to say it needed correcting before i could continue and this was fixed by masking off the area and then sanding using a sanding stick. this process was time consuming as i had to stop and regularly check my progress to make sure that i hadn't damaged any of my previous paint work. as you can now see the x-wing is actually stating to look like Poe's ride, complete with paint chipping and i have removed all of the masking tape over the wings and you cna see the recessed areas in the wing waiting to be filled with the greebles i made earlier. there are some areas that need some touching up on the wings but by and large the masking was 99% successful. the engine nozzles ahve now been added as well and they were first coated with tamiya's chrome and then lightly over sprayed with clear yellow which isn't showing up very well in these pictures. after that it was back to a new favourite of mine tamiya rubber black, which gives a nice charcoal grey/black look to the exhaust area.

I remember seeing a Panther recovered in similar conditions
