Great job and great job on the wash

-
Is it me or do they look orange in colour...or perhaps it's the light.
Great job Ian

-
Holy Cow!!, That's great work Andy.
Keep em coming.
-
Nice job Col,
Love the base too.

-
by the way if I ever get as good as you me old china Id be a very happy bloke
It's just I get more practice in then most. After you've done so many you get the hang of it.
Trust me, It took me ages to get the hang of airbrushing

-
You could do with some Micro Sol on those decals.
Great pic's Paul, keep them coming

-
Good job Pete,
Just ease your self back in the hobby

And you get extra points for using the wash

-
Thanks for all your kind words,
I'm going to do a commentary on the build tomorrow for the TV show, I hope to have it up by the end of the week.

-
Thanks guy's,
There almost done, apart from the the knights helmet that goes in between the VMFA and 314. As you may know no, one does the decals for this one, so there all being sprayed on.

Thought you would like to see what mad people do all day!!

-
OK so I finished it some time ago but Haven't had time to photo it.

The full build is on the website all 90 odd photos. (Promodellers TV)
A lot easier than doing these Digital camo jobs!!

Phil had better start making litre bottles of his wash for all those 32nd scale Tamiya kits!
Don't forget, the new colors come out on the 1st, BLACK and BROWN

-
Super job Marcus, a great looking aircraft and it's a Phantom too

-
Medium grey, prob close to medium sea grey.
Xf-20 is more like Light gull gray FS36440
-
Great job Bill, very nice

-
Great job Q, love it. nice and faded.
If you need a replacement seat, I've got enough hasegawa spare to fill a A380, drop me a PM and I'll send you one out.
-
Oh Yes now we're talking!!!

-
The drop flaps are strait forward to drop, but what would be nice too is the bird slicer on the nose. I don't no if you could make the base thin enough to make it sit on top with the five blade on one part.
Built three of these.

Agreed- it's given me a lot of enjoyment to be sure.
I am soo nearly at the painting stage- just can't decide which paints to use. Either Gunze or Model Air- Phil, do you happen to have the correct Model Air bottle numbers..?
Ta
Yep, for the model air you need 049, they call it medium grey FS36270 the light gray and 053 they call it Dark see green for FS36118 Gunship grey.

I built the 'C' last week in the digital camo

and have to say it went together better than the Hasegawa kit, but Mike for god sake make some replacement intakes for it please
. and yes the panel lines are a bit over done but I found most things can be put right easily. And yes it's one the first monthly video builds.
-
Mike- I'm talking about the TRAILING edge of the landing flaps. if you build them in the UP position, when viewed in PLAN view, they do not go forward enough so that the "back" of the wing is a straight line.
Also, with the canopy shut- there appears to be a nasty little step on the forward edge of the canopy-
Obviously I am the first person who noticed this a crap modeller
The canopy problem happens every time, you need to take a little off the inside of the canopy so it will close. Or build it open.
So summing up!, the kit it great as long as you have it with the canopy open and flaperons (great word) Down

-

To be honest mate, I haven't done then up only powered down. The only thing I know is the leading edges stick up a little as Mike says.
-
Great work Ian,
One of my favorite models to build too and this is my favorite photo of all the models I've built. Not my best work as it's 6 years old now!!

-
Yep, had a few bits of them fast service too.

Oh NO, not the LERX thing again
Ian, It's the thickness of it that's the problem the 100% one is as thick as the wing at the join with the wing
and the 65% one (yours) is very thin like a blade
