  1. Well it's all going belly up on the decaling front. I'm not a happy camper The white Deacl went on great Then the coloured decal which is very poor And guess what it doesnt line up AS you can see the colour decal is to small and short showing the white. But it gets worse. yes the black Tiger strips don't line up ether It should look like this So not only are the coloured dacal no where near the right colour, they don't fit
  2. If the customer wants heavily weathered he gets heavily weathered
  3. Looking good. It's hard to tell on grays until the gear is on and canopy is unmasked, They tend to look dark until there's some contrast. I use to have the same feeling with the Hornets
  4. Well done Darius, that is a job well done on such a large scale. But were the hell are you going to put it.
  5. I have just had a thought...............................That guy is a midget
  6. The commission calls for ten with a option for a further five for the Sukhoi Company (JSC) some time in November.
  7. This is a prototype for a large commission for later in the year. It's the Italeri SU-34 with the Pavla cockpit set and seats. Happy Modeling Phil
  8. That what you get when you take the best bits for a Hunter and whats left you use for a buccaneer
  9. Hi Jake, I was doing the Tamiya F-16 in the middle of doing it, so in total it was about 3 days work. all though the commission calls for ten with a option for a further five. I recon that it will work out about one a day
  10. Sorry I ment SU-34 not 24 typo I thought this would be a bit different for the site. This is a prototype for a large commission for later in the year. It's the Italeri SU-34 with the Pavla cockpit set and seats. As it terned out the colour was a bit to green as all the combat production aircraft are more blue then green interiors also the commission models will have a detailed HUD. The build itself was very straight forward but a lot of filler for the wing roots and intakes. I also dropped the flaps and slat's After re scribing the wing root areas a coat of primer. still not happy with the wing root so more sanding and filling more filler Pre shaded and blue belly on Next it's the green top camouflage which is the same Russian green lightened to give the two lighter greens and this is all the gray parts painted and the black anti glare panel done Next it was putting it all together and a wash with a bit of free hand weathering and the jobs a good en. The weapons fit is very basic and just for show as the commission calls for no weapons. I will post more pics later on. Happy modeling Phil
  11. Yes, pre shaded and a little more shading on top for weathering.
  12. That's a fantastic photo. It gives a real sense of scale and power
  13. Looking better every time I see it. By the way what made you go for this kit. Did you have your beer goggles on lets face it those props look like planks. Mind you it's nice to have a model that makes people think. Look at Peter Andre and Jordon
  14. Bloody Hell Neil, I leave you alone for an hour to watch 24 and your at it again. Relax, sit back, Deep breaths that's it. Deeeeeeep breaths

  17. Seeing as I'm putting up washes for 1st 2nd and 3rd placed winners that puts me out of the competition. I'm happy to take part though.

  20. To be honest I never noticed in the first place. I polished out the centre seam and mush have taken it out then.
  21. Mr Tamiya says "1: the thickness of the clear part is the least thick for the plastic material and can not be any more thin. In the process of molding the clear part, the plastic material does not go through the mold thoroughly (but enough to make a form) and because of that, this scar will be produced. This is not actually a scar or scratch but the trace of plastic material flowing into the mold when in the liquid form. Imagine two currencies of water go meet in the middle of the river and make a line in the middle, and then those go frozen immediately to ice, then you will see the line in the middle. 2: They actually tried to overcome this flaw in the development stage, by making a protruding point at the both end of the parts so that more plastic go flow into, but this innovation did not work well enough to solve the problem. 3: The only way to solve this problem is use compound to wipe it out. 4: In conclusion, TAMIYA acknowledged this is not a production faulty." So pick the bones out of that.
  22. It's only a guess but you might have to change the Royal seats :whistling: I was fascinated by the shot up Wessex at the fleet air arm museum It's riddled with bullet holes
  23. Is it still thick like tar or my like Tamiya acrylic. I sore models for sale have the range in. Will be watching with interest thanks Stephen.
