  1. Cheers , cant seen to find anyone with stock
  2. I agree but due to limited visibility into the cockpit they would be a bit redundant . I spent a fair bit of time giving he insides a weathering only to find that once the Two halves go together they were completely obscured
  3. Can anyone recommend any aftermarket bits and bobs , looking to gussy it up a bit in the cockpit area
  4. Cheers for all the comments and at the risk of contradicting myself the humbrol white did go on well. For some reason I have always had a problem airbrushing white but with a bit of trial and error thinning the mix I got it down OK. My next project will be the Revell hunter , can anyone recommend any aftermarket cockpit kits
  5. Just purchased this today , can anyone recommend any aftermarket bits
  6. I do confess to using Tamiya thinners with the humbrol acrylics so I will try again with the humbrol thinners , but the paint either was to thin at 2:1 and to thick at 1:1 and would not go through my airbrush, had to resort to removing the needle to get it to flow. But again I cant praise the decal solution enough went onto a gloss surface without any crackling or silvering
  7. I know about the decals , a combination of having the model upside down and the instructions the wrong way round
  8. After a short break from posting due to moving house I decided to take on the New tool of the airfix dakota , this was also my first stab at using Humbrol Acrylics and although the colours were spot on I still prefer the tamiya. The actual kit went together well and despite the over complicated wing roots and lack of cockpit detail I decided not to go for any after markrt bits and went with it OOB. I also tried the Humbrol decal solution and am glad to say its excellent
  9. Try liquid filler , I use it for my canopies , apply into the gap then before it dries smooth into the seam using a moist cotton bud
  10. Calling this finished , used a mix of humbrol and Mig pigments but had a bit of trouble keeping them on Had to keep dusting the powder on then coating with varnish
  11. Very nice , I've just finished the same kit and yours is way better
  12. First time on armour but will be having another bash and will probably try using pigments
  13. Kit is Tamiya £15.00 from Modelzone and scale is 1.35
  14. This is my first go at armour , done a fair bit in terms of aircraft but thought I'd give a tank a go
