Italeri 1/35th Tiger 1E Late Kit 293
lipkicker replied to Rodders's topic in Ready for Inspection - Armour
This is an excellent model , my only suggestion would be to try and make sure the join on the tracks is done at the top not at the bottom that way is less noticeable. But in terms of the build and finish its very very good -
Finished this one just in time for fathers day . Out of the box build apart from the harness .During the war readers of the Belfast telegraph raised £ 88000 about 2.5 million in todays money and was enough to buy 17 spitfires

looking at the quality of these I can see a time where injection moulding will bbecome a thing of the past . Twenty years ago printing photos from home would have seemed like something from Tomorrows world but now its nothing special and I can see 3D printing going the same way. Loose a bit of a kit , no worries just print one out , want to add a bit of detail ,not a problem you can add anything that you can render . Hopefully the lit manufacturers will embrace the tech and not try to sideline it the way Kodack did with digital photography -

Nice work , What Scale ? -
As for the decals apparently revell did not see fit to actually add a set of roundels that would fit if you wanted the option of the rear window or even bothering to put this option on the instructions. After cutting out the holes for the windows I realised that I could not fit the roundels supplied as they were far to big The instructions a linked below and give no option for decals with the rear window fitted , I know I could have gone to the spares box and found a spare set that fit but allthe ones I had diddnt look right http://manuals.hobbico.com/rvl/80-4903.pdf

The rear fuselage window has to be cut out

Went with this as an OOB build and had quite a few problems , Instructions were a bit on the vague side and had a nightmare cutting out the windows but not to unhappy with the end result

Been at this one for about 3 weeks , simple OOB build and decided to go with the 17 squadron markings. Ignore the time stamp on the photos , camera decided it was 1st of Feb 2012 for some reason

Like it. Love the abandoned look

Very nice. Shame you left out the crew, otherwise awesome

I cant find anything for this in 1:32 . Looking for a PE set for the cockpit
-
So after sanding off the detail on both the cockpit and instrument panel in anticipation of the photo etch detail I ordered imagine my dismay when I realized that like a numpty I had ordered the wrong scale (1:72) I now cant find anyone with stock. Can anyone recommend a stockists of either the true details or Eduard sets for the revell 1:32 hunter
