  1. Great build , like it a lot . Pity no internal shots. From the bits I can see through the glass it looks well
  2. you tube has thousands of vids regarding some basic techniques for things like removing seam lines and paint masking. In most cases you can follow a build from start to finish
  3. love anything fleet Air arm and this is a beaut
  4. I agree with Jean this is a nice build , so what if its not perfect and overall it looks good
  5. Fantastic build , wish I had the cajones to do a bi plane
  6. Lovely build but I think people need to read the rules for comments , this is not a forum for nit picking at the minor details but a place where we can all enjoy our hobby and pick up tips and tecniques , it bewilders me why a cetain element of members feel it's their duty to point out what a model someone else made should look like
  7. I think this is amazing , as soon as I saw the red crowbar I knew someone would point it out. Sigh..... so what if its red there is so much about this project that is awesome that pointing out the crowbar the wrong colour seems a bit churlish.
  8. Nice build , despite your heinous decision to build the model how you wanted it to look and not as an absolutely 100% accurate COPY of a piture someone once saw . Artistic licence is allowed as far as I'm concerned
  9. Like this LOT , well built ,well painted and well weathered ,and fingers crossed no comments saying that the rear flaps would be in the down position or the exhaust stains dont go far enough or some other nonsence that sucks all the fun out of what is a hobby and not an exercise is research and realism.
  10. I like it , the colors might be a bit off but love the weathering and staining
  11. good job on this one , what paints did you use ?
  12. Just tamiya acrylic thinned a bit and a oil wash
  13. Yes , I thought that they looked a bit glossy . do you think it would be ok to go over the gloss with a matt varnish
  14. Can anyone point me in the right direction for Airfix spares , Got the new tool Blenheim on the bench and I cant seem to remember the safe place I put the fully assembled engine and cowling parts , took a trip to dear old hannants and although they do the engine they dont have the surrounding parts . I need parts C22 D12 C2 , C23 & C24 AND 2 C11's . Bit of a long shot but I thought I'd post on the offchance that someone out there had them following a converstion or a scrapped project
  15. I wasnt looking for anyone to agree, bottom line , would this build have looked better if airbrushed answear is yesand its not a big step, my first rig cost £20 then i invested in a better compressor and airbrush but still only paid £70 and that was 2 years ago. if you want yo you can pend hundreds but for me the whole thing is worth the investment. Not sure what is meant regarding not having the facilities but mine just runs on electricity.
  16. Wow an "Airbrush Nazi" don't beat about the bush. Dry brushing has its place but Airbrush painting is the more popular option for modelers for a reason and the reason is that it is better .
