  1. It is soooooo coooool!!!! Congratulations!
  2. It is very possible, the other reason is that the pilots were really smaller than today. All those pilot's seats in WWI fighters are amazingly small too. Polish PZL P.11c seat in the MMP monography has 9 mm in 1/48 scale, which gives 6 mm in 1/72. I don't have original size at home, but I think it is pretty accurate.
  3. Hi, Arma Hobby here. We've checked it a few times, and the real Ki-84 seat IS very small. We can not confirm precise size of the seat, but definitely it is more narrow than already narrow cockpit opening. It is also good to compare seat's width with the canopy frames and the armoured glass of the windscreen. I'm ataching you several photos. Our seat is 5 mm wide. Renowned Japanese modeller Jumpei Tenma made his own 3D printed seat, which is 5,8 mm. It is bigger, but the difference is 0,8 mm. Jumpei's design can be downloaded and checked here: http://soyuyo.main.jp/ki84/ki84_seat.f3d or here: https://a360.co/3B2MbJX You can judge yourself. Best! Grzegorz
  4. That's really amazing work! I'll be watching it with great interest!
  5. WOW! I don't want to hijack Jamie's thread but... your builds, Bruno, are really impressive! The Lightninig with lowered Fowler's flaps! Great work! I need more time to examine all of them! Best! G.
  6. Good work so far Jamie, there is nothing better for a model kit producer than seeing the kit being built. Good luck with further build! Bruno! It's a masterpiece!!! Would you like to send me a few photos of your fine model for Armahobbynews Gallery? Please! Best Regards! Grzegorz
  7. The most elegant of 109 Messers. Good build!!!
  8. Well that's interesting! It is true that both Grom and BÅ‚yskawica had a lot of weight removed on the top of everything, funnles, masts, bridge.
  9. They write it was done to improve field of anti-aircraft fire. So was the mainmast removed.
  10. Angus Konstam wrote it in the Osprey's "British Destroyers 1939-45. Pre-war classes" book, desrcribing the "3-inch upgrade". I've accepted it without deeper thinking. I think I've read it also in one of the Polish books, in description of the 1940 Garland's modifications.
  11. None of the (really good) IBG kits is ideal for this conversion, but I think the Hotspur is one of least proper. I've bought it with this intention but finally decided to make a 1941-42 Garland of it. Hardy was sunk in April 1940, so had two tall funnels (Hotspur kit has rear funnel smaller) and two quadruple torpedo launchers (Hotspur kit has one, the second is replaced by aa cannon - that's why the funnel was cut). Also Hardy didn't have these wells under the main gun positions. I think for really comfortable conversion you will need two different kits, look for the funnel, torpedoes, wells, also aa guns positions on the bridge sides (and the bridge itself, as some are in I-class version). Archelaos - good work!
  12. Kelly was kinda legend because of the film "In Which We Serve": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Which_We_Serve Well done with these "wells" filling and other details.
  13. How much I love this aeroplane! Especially in this camouflage (grey one looks less classy IMO).
  14. Excellent! Congratulations from Arma Hobby crew!!!
  15. To be precise, the bombs and tanks are on the second sprue generic for all Mk.II: ...and the third sprue is for all Hurricane marks, including Mk.I: You can see all the sprues here: https://armahobbynews.pl/en/blog/2023/04/06/hurricane-mk-ii-c-1-48-scale-renders-of-the-sprues/ Best, Grzegorz
  16. Lovely! Thank you!!! We've been waiting for good Battle kit soooooo long!!! I'm so excited!
  17. I've already got 1/72 sprues (without decals) on Babaryba. Look very cool!
  18. Very well done! Can't wait for continuation of this splendid show!
  19. That's interesting! I have their Phonixes, Rolands and SPAD VII, very decent kits, but old ones. What quality they offer now?
  20. Thanks to Troy's remark, we sat at our desks with several books and revised this - interesting indeed - question. The result I've described on our Armahobbynews.pl/en/ Blog (with pictures). https://armahobbynews.pl/en/blog/2023/05/16/hurricane-mk-iic-no-309sq-code-letters-colour-conundrum/ Thank you, Troy!
  21. It's extremely impressive!!!
