  2. Here are some little lead men from the War of the Roses era depicting the different wy to show the knight colours. The retinues of the Earl of Warwick, The Kingmaker, advance in the mist covering the moor showing the BADGE BANNER with the bear and the rugged staff, In order of appearance ... The Men from Perry Miniatures The banner from Freezywater The reference from The Lance and Longbow publications
  3. You're a lucky guy Paul. In my region is quite impossible to find shows where buying vacs old or new it's tha same. Unfortunately, by me, the resin has killed the vacs. So I have to wander in the ebay prairies to catch my prey. About the stockpile I've also a lifelong quantity but I don't know how but the newer kit is always the better ...... Ezio p.s. last night because of your post I discovered a Ludemann Lloyd C.V that was sleeping on the depot shelves
  4. Maybe I can help you Paul because I'vee already faced the same problem in the past. I LOVE the vac kits that unfortunately nowadays are been fading away. Really active I remeber only Broplan that doesn't cover the WWI period. However I discovered some years as ago this shop where I found the oldies (and not too much goodies) Classic Plane vac kits but much more interesting the Lüdemann resin kits. I bought a couple of these ones even if I dislike the resin stuff and they were quite good. If you search the catalogue you find some interesting kits. I've already posted this link in another part of the forum but I don't remember where or when ..... Joystick can be found still from Hannant's. Ezio
  5. Very nice Silver Fox, I'll keep waiting for the task done (the potatoes)... with the trio completed. I didn't know that manufacturer and it seems to be very interesting because it's not easy finding good figures in this scale. Ezio
  6. Now I'm cmopleting the buid of the two kits I bought to make my tribute to the brave North Irish Horsemen. I've used the data picked up during my research in another topic "The North Irish Horse ride from Argenta Gap to the Po river" The kits are these ones: Chrchill Mk IV NA 75 and the Chrchill Mk IV The first of the many questions, I suppose, to come is the simpler one. The colour. Th instruction sheet refers to a Gunze H73 defined Dark Green. I usually do not use the Gunze colours preferring Tamiya mixed tO achieve the proper colour or the Life Colours or Xtracrylics. Anyway considering the war period I suppose it' quite similar to a olive drab than to the early war bronze green. It's correct? Thank you in advance Ezio
  7. Nice job! I'm waiting to see the model built
  8. I have the same problem and this is the reason why I don't puchase Airfix kits from Airfix even if I'm a Airfix Club member. I buy the kits from other vendors in UK or on Ebay. I'm not at home from 7 AM to 7 PM so my GREAT postman leaves the parcel rigt in front of my door at the fourth floor. If it can comfort you in Italy the problem is widespread because most of the shops ship the parcels with a courier so .... I purchase in UK!!!! Ezio
  9. Thank you Andrew, I like it because you can make little diorama without a lot of time and money Ezio
  10. Great suggestion! I used in the past the Kamizukuri sunflowers and palm and they are excellent. I ddn't know that there were the seat belts too. I'll order them right now. Thank you Ed Ezio
  11. A nice idea to remember this important day for the world and most of all the soldiers that lose their life in those days. I feel that we are not remembering in the proper way in these days where many parts of the globe are at war. Ezio
  12. Here is another little Man-at-Arms with the standard of Lord Dacre of the South
  13. These are my first 28 mm Tommys. I didn't remember the manufacturer name. I bought many years ago because of the gas mask that in my mind recall immediatly the horror of the WWI. Now they seem terrific but it's only the first step Last night I began painting but I have several doubts about the gas equipment and the steel helmet colours. For the mask I supposed a khaki like the other equipment, haverack, belts and so on. For the helmet? Someboy have a fabric cover so I painted like the uniform but the steel one? Thank you in advance Ezio
  14. Thank you Mixus for the extremely logic and scientific answer. Ezio
  15. Great! I'm happy for these new pictures and now just the silly question ..... where do you get the informations about the "camouflage" ? The skin colour is a supposition or thera are studies that can guide? Ezio
  16. Wiating for the "official answer" friom Mixus Minimax I've made a little web serach and found this. I hope it can help you Ezio Uhrzeitshop a shop and the sculptor David Krentz
  17. I have an old vac kit from VacWings of the Lohner and I never took the courage to face it. The real problem is that when a brand new kit is introduced in 1/72 scale is rarely in injected plastic if it's not a common and comemrcial subject. I'm not very fond of the resin because of the cyanoacrilcate glue needed to mount them. My only experiments were with a couple of Austrian fighters from the Luedemann range buta tey are lying unfinished. I can do more easily a vac kit that is the best fun I can have. Transform a plastic sheet into e complete model, a pure dream! And also for the detail the best scale in my opinion remains the 1/48, detailed and affordable. Wingnuts require a loto of money and space, of course they are purely fantastic
  18. I'd be happy eevn with the Beagle only .... I can produce a perfect doggy house in plasticard
  19. Very Very nice, bravo! I didn't know there were dinosaurs in a small scale. I've saved the David Krentz webpage in my bookmarks. Ezio
