  1. Damn...could have done with those underwing pylons a couple of weeks ago
  2. Another outstanding build and finish Arkady! I love the way you weather your models, very inspirational.
  3. That is really nice Spence, the red bits certainly add to an otherwise plain colour scheme too.

    Set/ Sol

I will agree that significant lumps and bumps will need a decal setting solution of some description but I do get the decal bedding down into panel lines quite nicely with Kleer. By the way I'm using the OLD stuff

    Set/ Sol

What you REALLY need is a good, smooth and shiny surface for the decals to go on in the first place. Micro Set does help to get rid of any tiny pockets of air that get under a decal and the Micro Sol then beds the decal down into any surface detail. Personally I spray Tamiya X-22 Clear onto a model then when it's completely dry I put my decals on with the aid of Johnsons Kleer (the old stuff) then leave it as the Kleer will bed down the decals anyway. If you have thicker decals and use Micro Sol (or any decal setting solution) then it CAN react with the Kleer so be careful
  6. Wow! That is an excellent resource for the Canberra. Thank you for the link!
  7. Hmmmmmm I don't think there is much out there unless you can get hold of the technical manual for the B-57. I'm getting the Schiffer book 'Martin B-57 The Complete Record' for my birthday so I'll have a look in that. You may want to try here; http://www.b-57canberra.org/ And here; http://www.cybermodeler.com/aircraft/b-57/b-57_all.shtml Maybe the only thing to do would be to write to the museums that have a B-57 in the collection and ask VERY nicely if someone could take photo's of that area for you
  8. YAY nice one Danni! Great recovery on what looked to be a terminal case. Very well done!
  9. Wow! Nice finish Tony and it's VERY good to see you here as I LOVE your models
  10. Good job! I bet you had LOADS of fun putting the halftrack together? I only ask as I built one a couple of years ago and it had its moments
  11. I'm very suprised about this as Zvezda have been putting out some excellent kits recently, especially figures. I hope this is just a Quality Control issue and they address it ASAP.
  12. Any chance you could post a pic of the canopy please?
  13. That is superb! I love the weathering too, the plane looks real. Excellent photography as well.....it makes ya sick What camera do you use?
  14. It might be worth putting a post on Missing-lynx or other armour modelling web sites in the wanted or buy/sell sections. Hope this helps!
  15. Yep! Shame really as they do have some great stuff but I know quite a few traders won't deal with him anymore so the only chance to find stuff is at a model show. I managed to get the 1/35 Cromwell SA-6 kit for a stupid price at the Huddersfield show last year.
  16. Ooooooooo that's nice! How did you do the panel lines? They look really good.
  17. Well whatever disasters you've had with it you've certainly made a nice job of it, that looks really good.
  18. Very well done! I like the way you've done the tracks and as Silver Fox says above it's the little touches that add to it. Nice job!
  19. Thank you for using my Tornado pic as your avatar, I'm glad you like it! Chuffed!!
  20. If that is just what's in the box then I'm impressed. Obviously you have scope for more detailing but that looks great as it is. Nice work so far Spencer!
  21. If you are on Facebook then have a read of this; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cromwell-Models-complaints/324422457600569?ref=ts&fref=ts Also if you do a search for Cromwell in the General Discussion forum on www.missing-lynx.com you will find a LOT of posts about them.
