  1. Loving what you are doing with these droids Andy, top notch stuff
  2. Ahhh I understand! You would need to secure the ends of the copper wire in a vice or similar and twist with pliers, making sure you keep the tension.
  3. Use picture hanging wire, available in various thicknesses from a DIY store and nylon thread for the thinner cables
  4. LOL those things are forever pinging off, Carpet Monster fodder
  5. A bit like all your other work Andy, VERY impressive stuff! I like it a lot By the way mine's had a bit of a set back and very nearly on it's way to the breakers yard
  6. Fantastic! Andy you've done an excellent job, especially with the Slovakian camo. Well done!
  7. I WONDERED what the little holes were in the tie-down brackets were for on my kit? Dammit, something else Miniman forgot to mention in their instructions...oh well... Your SS-23 is really coming along nicely Andy, mine has been undercoated and I'm trying to fill all the annoying gaps and dings in
  8. Wow that missile bay is exactly like the Miniman Factory one
  9. "I can't shake the feeling that it would look good painted up in an International Rescue livery" Yep that's exactly what it reminds me of, something that would have appeared in a Gerry Anderson tv show My Miniman Factory one is actually built as I finished the build last night; http://andykingsmodelblog.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/ss-23construction-complete.html I might even get around to painting it sometime before Christmas lol
  10. Impressive stuff Andy once again! I must admit I do like your work
  11. To be fair ANY kit is going to have fit problems somewhere so filling and sanding is part and parcel of modelling I'm afraid.
  12. Andy, you do some terrific stuff mate! I really like both the Quad and the Chevy
  13. "I don't envy anyone trying to get the etch ones strait and square" Yep that's exactly what I had to do with my Miniman kit. Loadsa fun....
  14. Ooooo it's got all the individual tread plates for the top of the vehicle. That will keep you quiet for a few days
  15. The direction vanes for the missile in the Miniman kit were laser-cut card and are very good. I don't know whether it would be worth emailing them to get some as they would look better than the Hobbyboss ones, then again I mailed them about some missing parts from my kit and never heard a thing http://andykingsmodelblog.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/ss-23-teaser.html (Link edited so you don't have to trawl through all the other stuff)
  16. Yes those are the lockers! Behind them there should be three air cylinders each side for the braking system plus the hoses, you can just see them in these shots; http://photo.qip.ru/users/tosik83/115920929/143805589/#mainImageLink http://photo.qip.ru/users/tosik83/115920929/143805587/#mainImageLink
  17. Yeah there ARE pictures kicking around the net (cos I found them) but I'm damned if I can find them now. Try searching for SS-23 Oka, 9K714 Oka as these results throw up a few foreign language sites but the pics are there. If not pm me with your email address and I'll send you a couple Edit; ah HA! Found it!! http://www.zona-militar.com/foros/threads/ss-23-spider-y-irbm.20520/page-2
  18. No, all the seats face forward even in the small amount of photo's I have
  19. Interesting! I'm close to finishing the build of the Miniman Factory SS-23 and seeing these parts and others online the Hobbyboss kit looks awfully similar. I wonder why?
  20. By the way here's that book; http://www.amazon.co.uk/World-War-II-Tommy-Uniforms/dp/1861269145/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1424701771&sr=8-6&keywords=The+British+Tommy
