  1. Thanks for the extra info, I asked as I really like what you have done there. Looks terrific. Simon
  2. Worth the wait if you ask me, great stuff! One wing folded is how I'm thinking of doing my 'wing fold' aircraft too. Simon
  3. Today is a great day for RFI!!! Lovely 110. Any chance of a little history on the aircraft? Theatre, year, squadron? Simon
  4. That's a bit special... Any more photos? Simon
  5. Master class in weathering. Looks like I'll be popping back to this one for ideas for my next AFV. Great stuff. Simon
  6. I agree. Very nice indeed! Simon
  7. Best looking scale Harrier I've seen, pure class! Simon
  8. Wow, we are being treated to some amazing stuff today! Gorgeous! Simon
  9. Now that is cool and as you say, very sleek! Again, great way to show it off too! Simon
  10. Minos that depends on the tail for the Frontier
  11. Thanks for the replies everyone. @ Kallisti - very impressive carousel, love the engineering! I'll give Starship Modeler a visit in a mo and I'll have a look for your Starfury on here. @ Barney - your site is now bookmarked and great stuff, really! @ Mark - Damn fine Hurri! Looking forward to an update now on your Chinook (very cool idea!) @ Phil - just had a browse on their site and I think you may be spot on, they do all kinds of bits, just need to see them in the flesh and actually understand if I can do it. Thanks again for taking the time to reply chaps, it is much appreciated! Simon
  12. Evening all. I thought I would look in to adding nav lights, strobe and landing lights to my first Airliner (biting off more than I can chew I know) so I've done a bit of net searching but not really come up with too much. Has anyone done this before, did you do it from scratch or did you find a "kit" somewhere? Any suggestions welcome Simon
  13. I see, not to worry. Thank you for your offer, I've not yet decided whether she'll be in flight yet or not. Thank you very much for your generous offer, I may take you up on it. Simon
  14. Evening all. I relieved HobbyCraft of one of their Revell 1/144 B787 Dreamliners this morning and I don't seem to be able to spot the stand. It mentions it on the box but not in the instructions?! Any clues anyone? Am I blind? Or am I supposed to fashion one from the sprues? On a separate note, I've cleaned up the fuselage halves, lower and upper wing sections and had a test fit. She's a big girl, even in this scale. Fit seems excellent, really impressed. Need to come to a decision on livery (what-if is acceptable as anything can be done until she's in service) and how to do the windows... Suggestions on these two things also welcome. Thanks. Simon
  15. Great stuff, thank you for sharing. Simon
  16. Looks nice that. Top job. I have this quit, or similar in my stash, did it come with drop flaps or did you need to do some surgery? Simon
  17. Very interesting and great discovery! Thanks for the heads-up! Simon
  18. I have the Italeri 1/48 V-22 Osprey "Latest Edition". I don't know it's that's the same as the testors one though!? Simon
  19. Yep, I saw one at my 'local' model shop at Nott Cuts, Maidstone. Was very very tempted to buy it, but the boss was there, spied the price and in no uncertain terms I was instructed to put it back. Simon
  20. That would make sense, it was sprayed around Xmas, in my conservatory... Trouble is, I have to wait till I move to my new home in July, parter and I sold both our homes and are living with inlaws until new place is ready, so little room to crack on. Unless I move of her stuff IN to storage and some of MINE out... Simon
  21. Nice tip, thank you, I shall give that a go next time. I used halfords grey primer for the first time on my Spit Mk XII, not only was it darker than I was expecting but I got a slight orange peel effect. Hopefully armed with this new knowledge, I may be able to avoid the peel next go round. Simon
  22. Thanks for the heads up, I've bookmarked it for the future. I have a revell V2 in 1/35th, wasn't aware there was one in 1/48th? Simon
  23. Great read, thanks for taking the time to share it with us. Simon
