  3. If i can remember correctly, the red/black Charleston is black on the inner wings and the firewall is Delage red although not as glossy as the outside of the car....... Like this....... Have you seen this one, it was a part-work from a few years back 1/8th scale by Altaya. Smudge
  4. The wings and arches are actually in one piece and on my Charleston (two tone grey version) they were the same as the outer colour of the wing.........I did paint mine mat black after I'd had her for a few years............... Here she is on her day off!!.............. Adventure bumpers, none standard wheels and Robri's on the rear wheel arch.................I can honestly say that I had more fun in that car than any other I have owned.................I also changed the chassis on her for a galvanised one that was a dull silver colour............... Tony

  10. Hi Jon, they are coming on a treat, thought you may like a bit of detail for your Fourgonnette.................. This is my old van taken a couple of years ago.................... Smudge
  11. The nose intake covers could be red, green or grey (even silver) and nearly all the exhaust covers were green although there were some grey ones, (this is in my experience)....All in a plastic covered material with "remove before flight" flags in red.(very dirty) The set of covers would stay with the individual aircraft and were marked with the serial number, although the Navy being what it is, they tended to get mixed up..........................Smudge. Try this one https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CDAQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.modelshopnorthumberland.com%2Fstorev2%2Fstore.php%3Fpage%3Dviewproduct%26product%3Dpaints-and-accessories-paints-xtra-colour-xtracolor-14ml-enamel-r-n-helo-olive-drab-enamel-paint-bs298&ei=AAwYVZ3lCIna7AbFt4CwAg&usg=AFQjCNHRmZUXS-d9gufsByXKLIwiN77LYQ&sig2=DKNMsfnR2ePvSxJUIZLOAg
  12. The body, bonnet, wheels and interior have had a coat of Citroen Jaune Rialto (cream) using the actual colour touch-up spray for the real car, so it must be right, right?? It will probably need cutting back a little to give a nice gloss............... Watch this space.........................Smudge
  13. You can get them through Wonderland models too........... Smudge
  14. It's the Google translation for "Four sprung duck technique"......................This is sometimes used by British 2CV enthusiasts as a bumper sticker although I believe there is a joke version that refers to a "Lady of the night" and bed springs etc......... See my sig below........... Smudge
  15. I have to say that after wearing the old style 8's for over 22 years, i do like the look of these new ones....Like FredT, I also wonder if it will last, as I too can remember all the changes that were brought in without success..........................Change is always a difficult thing to do, especially in a service steeped in tradition like the RN. Smudge
  16. I think I may have seen that one too in Grimstad, just up the coast from Kristiansand.........................Smudge
  17. Took the words right out of my mouth Trevor, that would be the easier option.......................... Smudge
  18. This is what I intend doing for this GB, it is the Airfix 1/24th scale kit painted to look like my real one..................... This is what it should look like, fingers crossed............ Smudge
  19. The shaving brush suggestion works well or you could use a cheapo paint brush (1"-2") that does the trick too..................That is what I used here............. Smudge
  20. Castor oil?? It's Sea Harriers not Sopwith Pups we are talking about.............
  21. That's just the point buddy, too many leaks..................
  22. So, that was you always blocking "spotters" lane was it?, although I never saw you when we were taxiing past in the Swordfish??.. ..............Nice Shar Rodders but, that hard standing is far too clean for Yeovilton.. Smudge..........
