  1. Hello This is very nice. I made an RF some years ago but it was easier as she was camouflaged. Patrick
  2. Yes, for sure I have big books about aircraft in Algeria. Patrick
  3. Hi Valerii Yes I had to make hollow panel lines and as some rivets disappeared during the sanding process I chose to make them with Rosie. I know this is not true but with some wash the rivets are coming in the light. Patrick
  4. Thank you. Bare metal came from Alclad Duraluminium. There were four EALA : 3/4, 3/5, 3/9 and 3/10. In the early 60s EC4 flew Republic F-84F at Bremgarten and Luxeuil AB, EC5 flew Mystère IV and SMB2 at Orange AB, EC9 flew Republic F-84F at Metz AB, EC10 flew Mystère IV and SMB2 at Creil AB. Cheers. Patrick
  5. Thank you This kit is a good one but old. I have just added some bits. Patrick
  6. Hi Jerzy-Wojtek This is nice and gives me some idea for my RS kits in the basement. Patrick
  7. Hello During the "special operation" in Algeria, the Amée de l'air needed a lot of planes to support the ground armed forces against the FLN rebels. From 1956 to 1959 they used the N.A. T-6G but this one had a very noisy and underpowered engine for close air support in the mountains. The Air Force HQ was therefore looking for another two-seater aircraft and chose the N.A T-28B as it was used in the US Navy at the time. But these were not being available, France bought 146 T-28A airframes from the US Air Force, 1300HP P&W R1820-56S engines (excess of B-17) and three-bladed propellers like the T-28B. The Fennec as it was called was assembled by Sud Aviation and equipped 4 units in Algeria from 1959 to 1962. These units were sister squadrons of units in France and the pilots were temporarily assigned to Algeria. The four points under the wings enabled to carry any combination of 2 elements among the following : - containers of 2 machine guns of 12.7 mm; - T10 shaped charge rockets; - a 7 x 68 mm rocket launcher; - a 36 x 37 mm rocket launcher; - 120 kg bombs. Here is one with this Heller kit of T-28 with some parts in resin given by a friend of mine (machine guns, rockets and cockpit parts). This is Fennec N°7 from EALA 3/9 Numidie in 1961. (Escadron d'Aviation Légère d'Appui) Patrick
  8. Hello You really built a very nice kit of this aircraft. Cheers. Patrick
  9. Hi Roman This is another very nice build and yes there are many way to make the lens glasses. I am used to make them with larger transparent parts flush to the fuselage and covered with round masks. The other side is black. This is the same way as I made the flush windows of my Northrop Deltas. Cheers. Patrick
  10. Hi Libor This is really fantastic and probably nicer than the one seater. Patrick
  11. Hello This is a very nice build with her mates around. Patrick
  12. Hello This will be the Airfix kit. Patrick

  16. Hi Libor This is very nice. I missed this box but I got an old Fujimi one. The trouble is that inside there is no exhaust extension. Patrick
  17. Very nice little strike fighter. Patrick
  18. Hello Thank you very much. Yes I have seen this antenna installation on #735 and actually the short wing mast should have been put closer to the Pitot. Patrick
  19. Hello Thank you very much, but I have already given the kit to my friend. Here is a picture I took when I was painting with many layers of different shades of blue (base colour and increased part of white). The brown is dark earth. Cheers Patrick
  20. Hello Here is my last build and unusually this one is a 1/48 kit. I built this tamiya F4U-1 for a friend of mine who wanted one of Greg Boyington's aircraft in the Pacific. I chose #883 in December 1943. The decals came from a fündekals 1/48 Corsairs USMC Decal Set. Patrick
  21. Hi Roman This is very nice and I like this big bomber. Are you sure about the RLM70 you used which looks like a mid-green instead of the usual Schwarzgrün as on the propeller blades. Cheers. Patrick
  22. Hi Libor Another well done kit and I am waiting for this one too. Cheers. Patrick
  23. For other members who do not know French Air Force we were talking about the technical apprentice school we both attended when we were younger. It is a school similar to that which used to be at RAF Cosford last Century. Patrick
  24. Hi This is really fantastic. Thank you for sharing. Patrick
