  1. Hello This is nice and I have one of these kits somewhere in the stash. Patrick
  2. Hi Heather This a fantastic project and surprisingly I realize that I have already built some of your list but from other command or operational years. Actually I built the Planet Hobby Manchester and I can say it was a nightmare. Next went the Valom Hampden from a Coastal Command squadron. Nice kit but the clear parts were too big for the fuselage and I had to adjust. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234910433-172-valom-hp-hampden/ Later it was the Trumpeter Wellington also in Coastal Command colours and this one had very thin wheels that I widened. I also built the Hasegawa Lancaster and the Italeri Stirling. For the latter yes I admit the panel lines are highly visible. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234990139-172-italeri-short-stirling-b-mk-i/ Patrick
  3. Hi This is very nice and I remember building the same kit and decals at least 20 years ago. Patrick
  4. Hi Miguel This is very nice and I like the long nose. Patrick
  5. What a nice result as I know MACH2 kits are really hard to build after my recent finished Dassault Mystery XX. Congratulations. Patrick
  6. Hello Here is my last build with this strange aircraft that was the Grumman JOV-1A Mohawk. Produced for the US Army to operate over the battle field as a tactical and electronic reconnaissance aircraft. I chose the armed version named JOV-1A when there was argument with US Air Force as the fixed wing close air support was exclusively the latter mission. Anyway sometimes the OV-1A was armed for a self defense purpose... The 1/72 kit from Clear Prop was exquisite with (too) many parts and particularly with more than 80 photo-etched metal parts. Some tiny pieces flew inside my room and disappeared. I chose #60-3736 aircraft from the 225th Aviation Company when based in South Viet Nam around 1964 with highly visible markings. Patrick
  7. Hi Libor This is very nice and will make good reference for me. Cheers. Patrick
  8. Hello This is very nice and a very interesting subject. You could also make the Moroccan F-16 that was shot down in 2015 there. Patrick
  9. Hello This is very nice and I am always impressed by the Italian camouflages. One day I could try. Patrick
  10. Thank you very much. This was a kit easier than the Mystère XX. Cheers. Patrick
  11. Hello Another finished build with this 1/72 Finnish Curtiss P-40M which actually was some sort of a gift from the Soviet enemy in 1943. The decals came from the old V7269 Ventura decal sheet. At the moment I am clearing my huge "in progress" boxes as this one was started many years ago. Patrick
  12. Hello Thank you for your kind comments. For the plexiglass I use my eyes to keep the wright curvature. But I sand slowly and carefully with sand paper glued on a hard plastic plate like in the picture below. I have bought the A Model Falcon 50 as well. By the way I let you guess what is my next build in progress... Patrick
  13. Hello As I told above here are some pictures I took when this kit was in progress. I increased the contrast to show the hollows... I cut a rectangular hole inside the fuselage Next I glued a piece of plexiglass Here are the engine parts... I created this above where there would be the exhaust APU The plexiglass is polished like a mirror I made the moving plates of the horizontal tail The APU intake is home made With the help of my cutting machine I made the side windows masks Here are some bits inside the working area The fuselage to wing joint is not perfect After sanding too much we can see through a hole under the windscreen Underside is as perfect as the upper side and too much sanding as well Fixing with a small sprue length Trying to fix the hole but there is too much dust inside and I had to open the roof I could clean inside the cockpit with a brush I had first taken the shape of the front windows And I painted around the clear parts. Cheers. Patrick
  14. Hedllo This is very nice and your series is growing. Patrick
  15. Hello Pictures in progress with comments will follow next week. Patrick
  16. Hello In the end I have finished this MACH 2 Dassault Mystère 20 from Escadre de Transport 65. I chose aircraft #EG as she could be seen in 1991 for the mission of calibrating radars or radio navigation systems. To say it is a difficult kit is an understatement as this is one of the first kits produced by MACH 2. I replaced the side windows with plexiglass which I covered with tape cut to shape (thanks to my Silhouette Portrait cutting machine). I sanded the front windows but after breaking the first one, and sadly a little too much as I opened the bottom part. Obviously that put much dust inside and to fix it I did a big hole on the roof to clean the windscreen from inside. The bottom of the fuselage was deeper than the wings and I sanded... with the same result as on the windscreen. I had to glue some plastic and sand again. I can add that I had to create nearly everything behind the pilots and finally there were big sinks on the wings, fuselage and tail. The APU intake and exhaust are home made as were many antennae. So here is the result and I am happy it is done. Patrick
  17. Hello This is a very nice result with this old kit. Patrick
  18. Hello Thank you very much. On the Mexican one it was easier to paint the red stripes. Patrick
  19. Hi Jerzy This is a very nice result with this hard work kit. I love your "summertime" around Krakow. It was better last time we met. Patrick
