Doubt they will bother, but who knows. Otherwise, next year in 1/48 should bring more Mustangs, more Gustavs + the K-4, and Spitfire Mk.I for the next Eday (hey - it's BoB 80th anniversary!), with the Mk. Vb, which initially was said to be planned for a release before Mk.I, moving to 2021. For 1/72, prioritising Gustavs over Tempests is rather logical - how many boxes with Tempest Mk.V you can release and sell? Tamiya is not a big competition with their price in Europe (for one Tamiya Gustav you'll probably buy two Eduard weekend editions), and quite limited possibilities of what one can do with their kit, which represents a specific production variant of the G-6 (even one of the kit marking options is actually not suitable for the plastic included, as that aircraft should have different engine cowling) and no one knows if and when they will release any other variants. Eduard will surely bring us everything they already have (or plan to have) in 1/48, which aside from different G-6 variants, G-2, G-4 and G-5 also means different G-10 and AS variants never kitted by Fine Molds. And I also suspect the Friedrich family in the pipeline as well. -

It appears that all workforce was moved to the Mustang project, and this affects not only the 1/72 projects, but 1/48 as well - for example the star of November, ie. 1/48 Bf 109 G-6/AS was originally to be released in July. The out of stock issue doesn't only affect 1/72 but other scales as well - note that in the recent months a number of popular kits (mostly Profipack editions) were discontinued and then re-released (usually in the same form, sometimes with some changes in box artwork or marking options), which on one hand seems to be a clever way of encouraging the resellers to restock the particular products (with the amount of new releases on the market, many distributors make first big order, then 1-2 restocks and afterwards often loose interest in the 'old' products), and on the other hand, allows to have a number of new or 'new' kits every month (which is also related with the mentioned problem). Furthermore, Eduard made some major investments in the new company facilities (to which they moved in June, if I recall correctly) and new machines for decal printing. The September new releases already include decals printed with those new machines - I had the MiG-21MF weekend boxing in my hands to study the decals and I must admit that I'm impressed with printing quality. Both the small things like stencils, which sharpness in the older sheets was mediocre, to say the least, and technically demanding larger elements such as the swordfish design (see the Polish marking option in the said kit), appear to be comparable to Cartograf-printed stuff in my example, so it seems that with these new machines Eduard may quite seriously improve an important aspect of their kits. As for the next big 1/72 project, the Boss already confirmed on Czech Modelforum the launch of the Gustav range in 2020. -

New boxing announced: A5M2b Claude (late version) Advanced Kit CP72009. As far as could be seen, 'Advanced' differs from 'Expert' in that the former lacks resin and turned metal parts included in the latter.

Hobby 2000 - more kits from Polish reboxed Hasegawa (1/72)
caughtinthemiddle replied to JWM's topic in The Rumourmonger
Not without a reason - when buying sprues from Hase, one has to pay nearly the same amount as when importing full kits... -

What's wrong with the Cyberhobby kits? -
PF was announced for the third or fourth quarter of this year along with the PFM. Obviously no chance for the third quarter now, so perhaps we'll get a nice Christmas surprise? Or next year's Easter I doubt we'll ever get the two-seaters from Eduard.

Finally a nice artwork for Mullins' P-51D. Never understood why some decal manufacturers depicted that girl as an East German athlete, considering that we know just the basic shape of the artwork from the only photo - why therefore paint an ugly girl if a nice one can be done as well? -
New Released scheduled from HK
caughtinthemiddle replied to The_Lancaster's topic in The Rumourmonger
Yes, a new boxing of the B-25J will be released in the autumn. However, this is NOT the kit mentioned in the FB announcement - you will hear later about this one. Also, it won't be any of the 'rumoured' subjects mentioned in the 2nd post. -
1/72 - Arado Ar-196A-3 by Sword - released

In my view, the most important features of inbox reviews are quality and quantity of photos. The text, regardless of the language, is always subjective, but the photos allow to decide whether the particular product is worth any further interest or not. -
