  1. The March issue of Model Graphix is going to include a full kit of Ki-43-I developed by Fine Molds. Sources: https://www.1999.co.jp/10576221 https://hlj.com/model-graphix-2019-03-mdgmag1903
  2. Frankly, I didn't have such problem with these, although I must admit that decals are often packed into too small packaging (especially the zip bags).
  3. Cantacuzino (the pilot of the third aircraft) was a Romanian prince, who flew to Italy with a diplomatic mission. Thanks for the review.
  4. But have you seen the photo of the actual part, or are talking just to talk? The sink mark is rather prominent. And your rant sounds rather surprising given the comments you've made about this kit in the past f.e. on the Arma blog, which would indicate a different approach than described in your post above.
  5. If you look at the inbox linked above, it seems that one fancy extra (PE instrument panel) is a must have if the plastic one looks the same on all sprues
  6. That's not without a reason - because they quite hardly sell at shops, so there's little reason to keep stocks of rarely selling stuff. In case of Techmod, it's a bit easier since their products are available through one of the largest kit and accessory distributors in our country, so even smaller shops can get them when ordering more popular products from the distributor. To end this off-topic conversation, I can say that Exito revealed that their third decal set is already in preparation, and this won't be Germans this time!
  7. Having long-time experience in kit and accessory selling, they most likely know what sells and what not, and this led to the specific subject choices. I don't think so, as Poland simply isn't a good market for aftermarket decals. You'd be surprised if the folks from Kagero and other local brands revealed their domestic/foreign sale stats (which, however, won't happen). My personal experience (I've been selling various decals on Allegro a few years back, when it was the most common place for such small trade, before they turned into a host for large shops mainly) confirms this too.
  8. I've seen quite a number of profiles of the aircraft mentioned in the title of this topic, but the only photo I know shows it after the accident that took place during its postwar service with the Belgian AF. Can anybody point out where I can find any photo of this a/c during its wartime service with No.239 Sqn? I hope that all those profiles are based on something... Any help appreciated!
  9. A little correction to this part. The suggested upper surface colours for all marking options are Ocean Gray and Dark Green, with Medium Sea Gray undersides for DK296 and DZ637/AZ-X, and Night (black) undersides for DZ637/P3-C, respectively. Both P3-C and AZ-X were the same airframe, DZ637. The RAF markings on DK296 were not painted out, but stripped-off - see a note under the table on the colour guide sheet (well, seems that it should have rather been placed on the painting sheet for this particular marking option). Well, most of the known photos actually show this aircraft during its service with No.305 FTU, in Errol, Scotland (OK, I get the point of mentioning countries ), where apparently it had received Soviet national markings, and had been used for training Russian crews converting to Albemarles (kind of a RAF joke, isn't it?), until it was ferried to Soviet Union in spring of 1944 (different exact dates are cited by various sources). The decal sheet is correct. Mike made a typo in the relevant part of the review, as mentioned above. Both P3-C and AZ-X were the same airframe, DZ637, that was transferred from No.692 to No.627 Sqn. I would need to dig back in the reference material, but I recall that this happened in late spring of 1944. Therefore, no modification of the decals is required. ...and this is exactly how it is described in the painting guide.
  10. Thanks for kind words Paul, highly appreciated! Cheers, Maciej
  11. This one has: http://www.cmkkits.com/en/aircraft/pzl-p-11c-first-shots/ Nice job Libor. Cheers, Maciej
  12. You're welcome. BTW, it's quite funny that no one offers a conversion set either in 1/48 or 1/72. There's only a set for 1/32 Trumpeter kit available: http://www.modeldesignconstruction.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/ModelDesignConstruction/_RBC32001/54288/ME262A-2a%2FU2%20Glazed%20Nose%20Bomber
  13. Indeed, DML 5529 kit is a re-release of Trimaster MA-11 kit. Both long OOP. Define a search on Evilbay and wait. One DML boxing was sold just last Saturday for 33$.
  14. The June issue of our Polish Super Model magazine will also include these decals I have the sheet next to me and it's really nicely done like all decals printed by Cartograf.
  15. One thing that may be added is that the kits are missing gun throughs in the forward fuselage. What's interesting, the box art painter didn't forget about this feature in contrary to the kit's designers Nevertheless, from a few 1/72 IK-3 kits I've seen I chose to buy Azur offering.
  16. Hello guys, Here's another release of my friend Kamil: KFS miniatures 12-001 120mm (1/16) U.S. Soldier Inspired by some images found in the Web, KFS miniatures sculpted and released a new 120mm (1/16) figure of U.S. soldier. This set contains one unbuilt and unpainted 120mm (1/16) resin figure. There is no base included. Price: 27$ + 10$ shipping Link to item: click Hope you like it! Best regards, Maciej
  17. It won't be cheap - see HLJ However, if you count the cost of Academy kit and all aftermarket stuff it needs...
  18. Hello Bruce, Thank you. Each time when I notice such case I try to help. Thank you also for the kind words on the mag, as I'm its editor. Indeed, next issue will appear very soon. Best regards, Maciej
  19. Bruce, Yes, in Topcolors & Topdrawings series decal sheets we usually give individual markings only as in most cases the national markings are available in the kits. However, we do some exceptions, when the kits lack some of the markings (like i.e. in Topcolors 26 and 30, where He 111 Ps were involved, we added swastikas as the Revell kit lacks them; in Topdrawings 14 Arado Ar 196 reviewed here we also added swastikas and Bulgarian national markings for the same reason).
  20. For Nils and other interested in detailing the 1/72 He 115 - the photo etched set is produced by Extratech from Czech Republic, set No. 72094. See also a build article here. Best, Maciej
