  1. Bin them and get a pair of Xuron Microshear II's for much the same price!
  2. On mine the fit of the cabin to the hull was AWFUL. So bad in fact that I gave up on it and it's gathering dust! It may have been due to the construction sequence I used, so your results might be different
  3. I've just spent 2 months doing a complete overhaul of one of our antennas at work, an 11m DBS-Band dish, in readiness for service on that satellite. Also, it is NOT Facebook's satellite! It was the AMOS-6, owned by Spacecom, Facebook had just leased some transponder capacity on it. It no more makes the satellite theirs than ours seeing as we had space reserved on it!
  4. I'll add that the one thing my airbrush is a godsend for is getting good, solid coats of white paint in one or two goes. Can't do that with a hairy stick!
  5. I've built the ISS kit and it's a massive thing when it's done! Took me a good couple of months to do it as there's a lot to do!
  6. Depends on how big you want, but IKEA do the LEDBERG spotlight that might do the job http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10302667/
  7. I'm not normally into Soviet subjects, but I REALLY want one of these now!
  8. Want want want WANT!! Just have to persuade SWMBO now!
  9. I'd go for an Antex soldering iron. I've had one for years and I wouldn't use anything else. They have a selection of tips to choose from as well. Around £25 from Maplin.
  10. I've got one in the stash, and seeing as I'm a Hull lad, it'll be done as the Arctic Corsair
  11. I really need to get over there seeing as I'm not that far away in Rugby! Excellent pics by the way
  12. I was there the day the rangerfinder turret was installed at the Noirmont command bunker. Really must renew my Channel Islands Occupation Society membership!
  13. Got the album the day it came out, PSB are EXCELLENT
  14. I stick my head into the Coventry branch if I'm there, but with Antics in the centre, Joto's in Rugby (home) and Punctillo's in Hinckley, then there's not often anything they have of interest. Added bonus of Joto's is that I can have a chat whilst I'm in there
  15. Built one a few years back, goes together like a dream. But you'd expect that from a Tamiya kit
  16. Nice work so far and looking good! These ships are absolute behemoths! I've been on a Maersk Triple-E class, the biggest ships in service in the world and it's so hard to get your head around just how big they are!
  17. Nice work! My dad had a Virago (now with my brother in Canada), so for various reasons I've built 3 of these!
  18. Bloody hell, I'd love a fraction of your collection for my office at work! Thinking of the repairs, must try and fix my ISS model after the cleaner has been at it again....
  19. Saw the stand for this company at the nationals, couldn't believe the detail on the models!
  20. Truly magnificent! Hope mine turns out that well when I get around to doing it
  21. Lovely, LOVELY kit. I've built 3 so far, one for my Dad, one for me and one for my father-in-law. Pure joy in making it
  22. Just a thought - what about Citadel liquid green stuff? Might do what you want?
  23. Excellent work! And as for the rotating section, the Leonov from 2010 says hello! (Was apparently the inspiration for the design)
  24. Oooh, might have to send a link to this thread to my uncle, as he's probably clobbered that with a spanner at some point! Awesome work
