I think Captain Baker's (as in Sir James Martin's great friend and partner in the Martin Baker Aircraft Company) Christian name was Valentine. It was Baker,s death in the MB5 that prompted the move away from aircraft production and into life preservation equipment.

Cool, yeah my full name is Valentine but I have always been known as Val. it's a pretty unusual name over here, except in my family where my Dad and cousin are also Valentine. My grandad was also Valentine and used to fly Lancasters, so I have Lancaster log books etc with my name on them!

Look forward to seeing some more Spits, I'll put some of mine on here one day!
