  1. Guys, you need to change your group's settings if you want to continue or discontinue receiving email notifications. Here's how you do it. Hope these steps help resolve the emails flooding your inbox issue
  2. Actually its good to share. I found out there are actually many scale modelers out there who are either too shy or not keen to show off their work. And I would rather they join forums/groups/gathering to help motivate them and influence others keep this hobby alive. So, the more the merrier
  3. Hi guys, something interesting to share for those with FB accounts. Just thought I'd share that there is now a Commercial Airline Modeller FB group for all who are interested in scale modelling these airplanes. In a way this is good to help promote this interest worldwide since I have noticed not many scale modellers join forums. It is open to everyone but you will need to put in your request to join there first. Just click Airliner hobby model world I do believe some members here are already there as well.
  4. Out of curiosity, what are the main difference between a DC10-30 and the MD11, besides updated equipments and instruments.
  5. That's the problem with scratch builders ... you will always find some kind of imperfections but to others, she's beautiful. She's really coming along nicely there.
  6. Its still a fantastic build, Kev1n. Esp more so when she was "refurbished" for the new liveries in favour of her older design. Great job there
  7. Nice liveries. Can't wait to see them on the model planes
  8. OK, now I understand that Hot Dog bun joke ... zowie .. that thing actually exist
  9. Very nice clean build. And I love that decal ... twosix you say ... hmmmm
  10. I tried looking around but no luck. Sorry
  11. Nice ... but it sure looks like a lot of work.
  12. Nice, smooth and clean. I like it.
  13. Some progress report .. not much done since I only get to do little bits here and there on weekdays and only more on my holidays Images are taken with my camera phone so they aren't that clear (camera batteries ran out of juice so no choice) Here are the main fuselage and wings I have been working on. The wings are pretty much there except for the flaps closest to the fuselage and slats. For the main fuselage, following advise from some of the esteem members here, I decided to use the aid of Magic Sculpt to help me design up the rough cockpit. I had been having a lot of problems with the cockpit area. I left the gap in the cockpit interior as that's where I plan to put Preiser's 1/160th figures in as pilots (they're not to scale but its the closest I can get at that scale). I used Magic Sculpt to fill that small portion behind the cockpit to serve as weight so the model won't stand on its rear later. I've also cut out the rear cowl of the top side engine to showcase its engine reverse thrust later. Picture above shows how the arrangement would look like assembled minus detail in between. The gapping hole where the refueling boom used to be are filled using Magic Sculpt and will serve as the first coat. I'll be filling her again once the two fuselage are fitted together. The wing recess are further reinforced so that she'll have a better grip on the wings later. Some test fit images to see how the modified parts go together. I have already noted some areas I still need to fill later when each part comes together. Thanks for looking. Will update more once I get the cockpit out of the way. Planning to have a very simple overlay for the cockpit since not much can be seen through the windows, except maybe the pilots.
