  1. Couldn't agree more, I have more than enough Vb kits (as you say, it's been done to death - several times over!) and a load of decals for the Vc that I'm looking forward to using.....
  2. I like that a lot - very interesting paint scheme, never saw those colours before on a T-6!
  3. That's certainly an interesting-looking plane, which I'd never heard of before. The engine looks way too big for the rest of the airframe, almost like it belongs on something much bigger! The kit looks pretty good too.....
  4. I'd have to admit that it would put me off too, I'd be happy to pay more to have a clear resin canopy included. Also, isn't there a clear screen fitted between the front and rear cockpits (in case of bird strikes)? It doesn't look like this is provided by CMK. Even if it was it'd be a real pain to cut and fit accurately. While I'm sure that there are many on here for whom such things would hold no fears, I'm afraid they're beyond this modeller's abilities! Pity, I'd really like a two-seat second generation Harrier for the collection.....
  5. Really looking forward to this one. I'm also hoping that LukGraph follows it up with a Hawker Fury!
  6. There's a Hyperscale 'unboxing' video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W51plr25ERs&feature=emb_logo Based on the video, to me the kit looks to be pretty good.....
  7. Thanks for those links, very much appreciated. Looks like the scheme was a 'one off', post-maintenance..... Anyhow, this is definitely the scheme I'll be using on my 1/48 Kinetic kit when I get around to building it!
  8. I recently came across these photos of a Russian Navy Su-33 in what looks (to me anyway) to be a 'non standard' colour scheme: http://www.korabli.eu/galleries/oboi/voennye-korabli/admiral-kuznecov/tyagach-pozvolyaet http://www.korabli.eu/galleries/oboi/voennye-korabli/admiral-kuznecov/obsluzhivanie-tehniki I haven't been able to find any further details, or any other photos of this aircraft in this scheme (though there are photos of an Su-33 coded '88' in what I'll call the 'standard' scheme). Just curious - does anyone know any more about this scheme, or have any other photos?
  9. Neither the F-4EJ nor the F-4EJ Kai has a slatted wing. They both have the same 'hard wing' that was fitted to the early F-4E. Hope that helps!
  10. On pre-order in Germany for €89 until 15 November, thereafter €99, expected to arrive in January 2021. This might give some indication of UK price/availability? (See here: https://www.modellbau-koenig.de/en/Ships/Ship-Models-bigger-1-350/German/S-M-U-Boot-9-WWI-German-Submarine)
  11. As someone who doesn't know a whole lot about the Tornado, what rear cockpit has Italeri modelled?
  12. I've got the original Esci S-3A somewhere in the stash with a load of aftermarket stuff, including a resin wing fold done by Paragon. From what I can remember offhand, it looks very like the one being used in this build. I don't think Paragon is around any more but someone else on here may know more.
  13. I can't say I remember hearing that anywhere, but I hope you're right. I'd certainly buy one!
  14. I should probably have said 'a new, state of the art, injection-moulded SR-71 in 1/32'!
  15. As someone who (a) really loves the SR-71 and (b) has over many years bought many kits in multiples, I'd have to agree - at least to a point. Pretty much all of my 'multiple purchases' are driven by colour schemes - if there are a lot of interesting schemes for an aircraft then I can easily be persuaded to buy more than one kit (particularly in 1/48). This isn't going to be the case for the SR-71; just like the Ford Model T, Lockheed/the USAF pretty much decreed that you could have any colour as long as it's black (well, maybe very dark blue, but you get my point). I'll definitely get the Hypersonic/Gaspatch kit - if it's anything like as good as the recent Hs 123 then there'll be no contest as far as Revell goes (based on Revell's most recent releases anyway). The Revell one will probably be cheaper, but a decent 1/48 SR-71 is something I've waited so long for that I'll happily pay whatever Hypersonic/Gaspatch ask. (Also, the Gaspatch Hs 123 wasn't expensive for what you got for the money.....in my view anyway). What I really want to know is this - who's going to be the first to do a SR-71 in 1/32? That'd be a really 'big birdy'!
  16. Well, going on the pictures here so far I'm going to be buying at least three.....assuming of course that one is ever released!
  17. Still looking good.....I look forward to further updates!
  18. Nice, hadn't seen that scheme before. However, I prefer this one!
  19. Well, I'd definitely buy one if someone did a good injection moulded kit of the PC-21. One of the coolest-looking trainers around these days - I saw one displayed at Axalp a couple of years ago and was very impressed.
  20. Love the cockpit.....the rest looks excellent too!
  21. I couldn't agree more, I really don't get the current 'fashion' of covering everything in rivet detail.....
  22. Sticks out like a sore thumb to me, other people's mileage may vary, as they say.....
  23. Definitely looks to be a more accurate rendition to me! (Based on those photos anyway.....)
  24. Maybe slightly off-topic, but I wonder if we all prayed really hard would Arma scale their little Iskra up to 1/48?
