  1. Try this for size. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046368/ Nick
  2. I wonder what the cost price is of one of these models. Perhaps a oem version should be available without flash box or instructions
  3. Looks really good, I hope my one, which is close to painting, looks this good when Ive finished it
  4. Going back to the 'rivets on a stick'. I lost the plot trying to cut a decent rivet off of the stick that I dug around in my spares and found some Grandt Line round head rivets which were easier to use.
  5. Does anybody have a spare wheel dampner for a panzer IV, the carpet monster has devoured one of mine. Thanks Nick
  6. Hi all Does anybody have a spare panzer IV wheel dampner, the carpet monster has one of mine... Nick
  7. Ok, guys I need to tap your collective brains about bending the brass 'fenders' lengthways. As I do not have a etch-mate does anybody have an idea of how to do it...?
  8. Many thanks. Another nice touch by Trumpeter is the seperate rivets supplied for the final drive housing, although I could have done without that after completing my least favourite part of the model...the running gear...
  9. Ok, here are the 3 bridge sections ready for painting, because of the fiddly nature of the girder secions and there cross-members I have used tape to hold them otherwise painting would be a complete nightmare. I added the Pz II for scale.
  10. Just been looking at some of the other parts to this panzer IV and noticed the wonderful detailing that has gone into the final drive alas only to be covered up by the final drive housing..
  11. Hi Andy Ive been after this for a while as well, ebay less than 30.00 helped the decision as well. It is a well presented model all the better with the two types of tracks and etched parts. Nick
  12. Ok, so I have decided to concentrate of the bridge first as we all know what a panzer iv looks like. First thing, there are a hell of a lot of pin holes on the inside of the girder sections which may or may not be seen when constructed. So to fill or not too fill, that is the question... I will fill one and see what it looks like.. Together they look the part, nicely detailed with rivets etc although Im thinking I may have to paint the inside and the bulkheads before putting together.
  13. Ok, Ive finally got my hands of this model, for a reasonable price, and have decided to do a 'topic' from start to finish. Although I always say I will do a complete post they never seem to happen. This bridge layer is based on the panzer IV D chassis but only 20 were made. It seems a pretty comprehensive model with just short of 500 parts, interesting enough the kit includes 256 seperate track links or vinyl tracks, see photos and etched brass parts just to annoy me. Im impressed the photo links worked, now to clear some space to work in, and the kids out of the way....
  14. Excellent model, my father-in-law served on her during the Korean war and was taken back when I showed him you model. Nick
  15. Excellent, simply brilliant model, well done.
  16. Great model and the tracks are brilliant, very life like.
  17. Hi Andy She is looking good, glad to help with the reference. Nick
