  1. Wow, that's a big one! Very nice painting and weathering.
  2. A rather unusual topic, the very fist time I've seen this kit! Rather small in size for a tanker aircraft, and a well executed model.
  3. The P-61 should have the same wheel size as the A-26 Invader/B-26 Marauder.
  4. Stunning build and well-chosen forum nickname. You are really a scale show.
  5. Very well done, this should be a winner at your next scale model competition.
  6. Beautiful work, very clean paintjob and great weathering on the undersides! Top class.
  7. Excellent work, beautiful paintjob, great choice of markings. You "nailed it".
  8. Good choice Peter, this is a recurring issue on Dragon's rubber band tracks - some are fine, others remain sticky for long time. OKB Grigorov's resin tracks are one of the most valuable products for small-scale AFV modelers. Very nice Firefly, shame that this kit is so rare....
  9. Wow! Even though it's olive drab overall, it comes out pretty colorful in these markings.
  10. Nice one, Patrick - have never seen it in Finish markings before.
  11. Every Mach 2 kit finished is a testimony to the builder's skill. It's something like the "Iron Man competition" for plastic modellers!
  12. Marvellous build, beautiful paintwork and weathering! Having completed some UM kits myself, I know about the challenges they're presenting. I especially admire the clean work on the tracks.
  13. Excellent work Mike! And a very colorful and attractive paint scheme.
  14. Hello Jerzy, a tricky question indeed, I chose RLM70 over RLM76 on my builds: The colors chosen are purely speculative, as I couldn't make out the correct shade from the few available original photographs. The spots could be RLM74 Grey, RLM70 Black Green or - simply Black, just like the underside. What you see is my 'best guess' from the available informations! PS. Aaaah I just noted I came too late for the party ....
  15. Indeed, the box art is misleading. It made me believe that 8-gun nose Invaders saw action in the ETO, only because I memorized the drawing from my childhood days! Some sort of "Mandela Effect", I suppose...
  16. I will only believe when I have the kit in my hands, because it circulates in announcements since 2016. But if it does materialize, I'll be very happy to get one! Keeping my fingers crossed....
  17. Thank you for your expertise, much appreciated. BlackDog's 8-gun nose will be of no use for me, then. However I discovered KitsWorld have one marking option ("Maggie's Drawers, https://www.kitsworld.co.uk/index.php?GOTO=523&PICFILE=523&STKNR=523&STRH=&ORDN=&RNZ=534999&THISVIEWMODE=2&SUPPLIER=&FINDRETR=&WIDENET=&CATEGORY=5&SUB=31&VWW=1&VANCE=99, serial numer 39360) where I could at least use the clam shell canopy as provided in the aftermarket pack. I was suspecting there mighty be something wrong with Airfix' boxtop art of the A-26 with 8-guns in these markings!
  18. Dear fellow Britmodellers, many years ago I bought this 1/72 Italeri A-26 A/B Invader kit: I would like to model an aircraft serving in the European Theater in 1944/1945. The Italeri kit provides the early 6-gun nose arrangement, and the early model canopy with central lifting door. I have following questions: - did any eight-gun-nose Invaders see action in the ETO, or only in the Pacific Theater? I remember the old Airfix kit presenting an 8-gun-nose A-26 of 416th BG (based in the UK) on the boxtop. Is this verified with orginal photos? All photographs of 416th BG Invaders (as provided by KitsWorld in 1/72) seem to have the early 6-gun nose. - can the BlackDog resin 8-gun nose, although labeled B-26K Counter Invader, be used to represent an A-26 with this gun configuration? Or does the A-26K nose differ from the A-26B nose in details? I couldn't make it out by looking at photographs. - when did the A-26 receive the new, clam shell canopy doors? Can this be identified from the serial numbers? Or was this a field modification/upgrade? Thank you in advance for your assistance. With kind regards, Roman
  19. It's always good to have a toilet on board, especially on longer flights.... Perfect modellig again, Mr.Fuad!
  20. Yes, your Bf-109 turned out exceptionally good. The photos with the hangar in the back are superb!
